Question: Is the Cowboys' pick at No. 4 a spot where a quarterback can be taken?
Kiper: Sure they can. They can say, 'Well, Romo is playing another 4-5 years,' but did you think that going into last year? He's been hurt now a couple times. He's up there in age now. Can you guarantee that? And will there be a drop off at some point over the next 3-4 years? I would look at Jared Goff if [Carson] Wentz were gone. They coached Wentz at the Senior Bowl. If he were there, obviously that would be a strong consideration. But I think you look at this defensive front, they did add Cedric Thornton, but certainly a player like DeForest Buckner, Joey Bosa, any one of those guys would look good [or] Jalen Ramsey to finish off that secondary and give them a versatile guy. Byron Jones is going to play safety. It gives you that versatility as well. Same thing with Jalen Ramsey. They could go in any one of those directions. Personally, I would take Goff. But it seems like everybody you talk to, Todd, who are kind of insiders say they will not take a quarterback. They're kind of believing what Jerry Jones said a month or so ago and hoping that holds up."
