This, is again ESPN Plus and he follows Matt Miller's mock with O'Cyrus. For those interested Bijan goes to the Ravens at 22. I'm liking this pick more and more but think he might keep moving up the boards

26. Dallas Cowboys

O'Cyrus Torrence, G, Florida

Torrence has allowed just two sacks over 47 career starts and more than 1,400 pass-block snaps. With Connor McGovern's contract expiring, there is a hole on Dallas' offensive line, and Torrence is a brick wall against power rushers. He looked great at the Senior Bowl two weeks ago, too.

The Cowboys' pick might come down to how the board plays out, though. They might be enticed by Bijan Robinson if he's available, given Tony Pollard is a free agent and Ezekiel Elliott could be a cap casualty. And the WR2 spot behind CeeDee Lamb needs consideration, because Michael Gallup didn't make much of an impact last season. Depth at cornerback and edge rush shouldn't be ignored, either. I'm intrigued by how Dallas approaches these next few months and how the board sets up for this pick in April.

I'd imagine if that was the result of the first round it would be soul crushing for some with Robinson, Addison, Smith-Njigba and Flowers going off the board the four picks before the Cowboys were on the clock.

Agree and this reminded me I forgot the link...my bad.

If that is how the board plays out come draft night - I would actually be good with Torrence at #26. Value on the board. Another road grader for the line. Wouldn't be a bad pickup at all ...helps the run and protection - what's not to like. Not the shiny new toy alot will want, but very solid.

Smith Torrence Biadasz Martin Smith

Would be the starting line week 1. With Tyron playing RT.

The issue comes when Steele (who I think is massively overrated) returns.

They might cut Tyron to gain cap space.

Not gonna lie, spending a #1 on OL again just stinks of poor team building imo. That's be 5 in an 12(?) year span .
It's just not sustainable doing that imo.

All for BPA, but at the same time this team needs to find ways to build the line without using the 1st round pick.
Now, if he has a first round grade by the team and he's the only 1st round guy left, sure. But, since this team lives and dies on the draft for talent, guard isn't as important as DT/DE/WR/Defensive back etc...
Would be nice to start hitting one mid round OL.

John knows real teams are built outside the trenches where the more important players are.

Not idea who's selected ahead of him.
I am too cheap to pay for ESPN plus. Anyone generous enough to post the entire 1st round picks so rest of us cheapos can chime in? LOL!

Biadasz, mcgovern, Steele, all mid round or lower

Dane covered Torrance on the draft show today. Basically if you’re looking for a mauler that can just push in the running game he’s your guy.

If you’re looking for a G with better feet and that can travel more probably not your guy.

Would love getting this kid. Some might consider him a consolation prize if some other players were taken before but I think this guy would be great value and help this oline.

Imagine if Steele comes back and continues to improve. Tyron Smith can be back up or you could start Tyron and have steele as backup.

Point being the two oldest players on the Oline are future HOF while the rest would be young players with room to grow.

It’s all too much to copy and paste but I’ll list it out here soon
