Former Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen tells Sirius NFL Radio that he will attend next week’s scouting Combine but not participate in drills at because he still is recovering from surgery to repair a turf toe injury.
"I’m planning on doing all the interviews and, obviously, being seen by the doctors so they can see my toe, but my toe isn’t ready to go right now," Clausen says in the interview.
Clausen will undergo an exam on the toe on Thursday, NFL.com reports. If the toe looks good, Clausen might be able to hold a private pro day in early April, a few weeks befor the draft.
Like the other quarterbacks in this year’s draft, opinions vary on how highly Clausen should be rated.
