Cox was playing very well before his injury. Great to see him on the field again.
He played 9 total snaps before the injury.

He was playing in place of a CB on the Daniel Jones play at the goal-line.

Jabril Cox has not done Jack Squat.

Jalen Tolbert has accomplished more than Cox.

It took less than a game for Clark to get meaningful snaps on defense after only practicing for 3 weeks. Cox has been relegated to ST all year. He’s a glorified Matt Johnson. Injuries never letting him get back to what he was in college.
He was a 4th round pick before getting injured playing for the Cowboys...

That comparison is really not saying much.

And until Tolbert makes even a single game changing play then Cox has him beat.

Barely.

Some of the great Cowboys rookie seasons have spoiled some Cowboys fans.

Not every rookie is going to start, exceed all expectations, and become automatic 1st team All Pros.

In fact, the majority have to take the hard road. They have to learn, gain experience, play special teams and be backups for the time being until their time arrives. That is what happened in the case of Noah brown, Dorance Armstrong, and Dalton Schultz.

Tony Romo is the perfect example. In his first season, he wasn't activated for a single game. He didn't throw a single pass during his next two seasons either. It wasn't until his 4th season that he was given an opportunity and he converted it into a fine career.

I guess with Tolbert you have CD Gallup Brown plus the three headed TE targets it’s tough to get on the field make an impact ….right now . I look at Tolbert as a slot Randall Cobb starter kit who can be valuable down the road . Way too early to give up on him or Jabril Cox .

Everytime I get down on 55 he had one heck of a game in Minnesota . Plus Barr was signed pre season . Been tough for Cox to get on the field as well . The young players I’m down on are KJ and Wright who are losing playing time to a 5th rounder in Bland. I don’t expect Joseph or Wright in Dallas long term ( next season) gone .

Tolbert is actually playing snaps on offense and not just at the end of a blowout win.

Joseph played the majority of the Packers game.

Last season he allowed a total of minus 2 receiving yards in his 1st NFL start.

One of the few snaps Cox played before the injury was a great athletic play where he met giants qb at the goal line and pretty much knocked him out of the game.

He was not even playing LB on that play...
LVE, Parsons and Neal were all on the field.

Cox replaced a CB on the goalline play...

Cox is a complete fail up to this point.

He sure was hyped and people kept saying why is LVE on the field and not Cox. I always said if there was a better option they would be on the field..

Joseph had a chance to play against top flight receivers in Minn and has a horrible penalty early then left shortly thereafter with “ illness “

Total garbage time for both .. but that's better than nuthang at all.

Cox has not bulked up at all !! ... Instead of a LB ..he looks like a darn CB ...

I was going to say safety. He's a LB/S tweener.
