He didn't do anything spectacular and had only 3 catches but in those instances he looked comfortable, was were he needed to be, and caught the balls smoothly.
Given his horrible rookie season, it's good to see that he may be a viable option to eventually replace Gallop who hasn't shown much of anything yet this season.

Yeah I'm starting to worry about Gallup too.. but yeah, Tolbert looks more and more like he belongs. The lights are not too bright for him and he is not intimidated by anybody. Kid has a bright future!!

Tolbert is smooth as silk. Hopefully he gets better as the season improves. I thought he had more speed than he has shown but Reed is a good corner. Let’s give Gallup a few more games before we bury him. Yesterday he was matched up with Sauce most of the game and the Giants game was rainy.

Gallup needs to go.

I'd like to know how often he was matched up on Sauce. He was projected for that match up, but I didn't pay attention to see how it played out.

If that's the case we have 2 almost thrown away games. I'm not going to bury him yet, but Tolbert is looking damn good.

I think the next game the Cowboys will open up the pass offense because I think Tyler will be back and the offensive line will be whole. Also they are playing Arizona (Gallup tore ACL) and an Eagles coach.:popcorn: If Gallup does not get more targets, I will be worried.

I think as long as the defense is making the opponent look like a high school team the Cowboys should continue to be conservative and patient on offense. There is zero reason to take any chances and thus give the other team life. That's what got us into trouble with Moore.. dude was too busy playing Madden instead of trying to win the damn game on the field.

True but teams are going to try to take the conservative game plan away. Arizona has to take chances because of their lack of talent. This will be a stat game for the offense.

The operative word here is "try." But to be honest you CAN'T take the conservative game plan away unless you put the Cowboys down 2 or more scores. Even if the defense puts 9 in the box and dares you to throw there is no law that says you can't make SAFE throws. If the Cowboys want to chip away at the opposing defense for 3 quarters until the dam breaks our defense affords us that luxury.

Yeah, it's early, but man it's not looking promising for Gallup.

Tolbert definitely had a nice game. 3 catches a red zone PI.

Mike called the quick passing game yesterday due to the Jets D. MG is a mid to long ball WR. I suspect as we go along against defenses that aren’t very good he will get more opportunities.

3rd and long conversions are huge and you call them "Only" 3 Catches
