I don’t mind an issue in targets to the #3 and #4 receivers as much as I do our #2 receiver getting just 4 targets.

as a matter of fact Cooks has only been targeted 27 times this year which is just over 4 times a game and has a whopping 16 catches in total.

This is a far cry from what the production of a #2 receiver should be.

To put this in perspective, the Eagles have two receivers OTHER than AJ Brown that average 8 or more targets per game.

Back up the Cowboys “draft dump truck“ to the Raiders facility and get the one player that can INSTANTLY turn this offense into a SB contender.

Christ, I’m starting to sound just like the poster in 2016 that had a nonstop crusade to get Derrick Henry here before the draft

The coaching staff finally made the move. Gallup is cooked.
Gallup is really good at sideline passes. But he is a 10% drop guy. Tolbert has real talent and should get more snaps but he has to take advantage of them. Yesterday 1 target 0 catches. Gallup 3 targets 2 catches

Surprised Gallup didn't get traded yet.
He makes a lot of money.

His sharp decline on the field has probably diminished his value to where it’s swapping a 7th for a 6th.

May as well keep him for depth if that’s the case, but he is probably gone after this year.

The timing of his injury was unfortunate, and I’m sure Stephen loved the “discount” they got vs the overpay they were ready to give him. Just a bad situation all around. He simply isn’t the same after a blown knee and a swollen bank account.

Who in there right mind would trade for a guy who is so mediocre since his injury? He is currently counting almost 7 milly against the CAP but next year if we don't cut him he will count almost 14 milly against the CAP and then in 2025 and 2026 he counts almost 16 mil against the CAP.

Too much money. Another one of Jerry "We like our guys" contracts. Luckily we can get out after this year.

But currently he is the 30th highest paid WR in the NFL and 8th highest paid player on the Cowboys.

He not even the 8th best person on the offense let alone the team.

Lots of plays for Tolbert but any targets?! I don’t recall any…

Probably for the best. Gallup caught 3 passes and Tolbert did nothing so yeah keep limiting Gallup’s targets. Not a fan of just forcing him the football anyway.

Pro football reference credited Gallup with 3 targets and Tolbert was credited with zero targets.
Watching the game. I thought I saw 1. It doesn't matter. The passing game was excellent.

Gallup runs a slant it's the most battle I've ever seen a WR have running a slant.
He goes up against 5'11 195 CBs but makes them look like the Thing from fantastic four with how weak they make him look
I like Gallup outside targets but with slants I wish they would target someone else. Tolbert, Ceedee, Fergie,
