I don't know how these things happen. I understand that the guys on the field can miss the call, but there was no excuse for the replay official to screw it up.

Wow, what a debacle. I don't see how in the world anybody could have missed that. Especially how the ref said the "ruling is confirmed" which means the video evidence indisputably upheld the call instead of saying the "ruling stands" which is sort of a "we're not sure so we're going with the call on the field."

What bothers me the most is that after the fact, the Big East officials admitted the error but refused to make Syracuse vacate the win. Really, if they admitted the error already, why not make it right? Ugh.
