I heard that people in a New York bar were cheering wildly when they heard the news that he was lost for the year

surprising?

Curt Schilling's reaction was priceless on a radio station, gets a dig in on the Yankees about how they suck this year, good stuff

that New Yorkers are bitter because the Yankees suck this year (he actually said that they suck), and how they hate New England sports teams now because they are on top of them

Curt is a funny guy.

While they are rebuilding they certainly dont suck. They lost 3 of their starting pitchers early. Four if you count Joba Chamberlain. Along with losing some key players throughout the season.

Inuries are part of the game... they just couldnt overcome ALL of them. To many.

I remember Curt crying into his towel when he thought he lost game 7 for the Diamondbacks vs the Yankees in 2001 WS. He got bailed out.

I'm sure there are bars in all 50 states that have some schmuck that cheered when Brady went down.

Well, that tells you how douchy Schilling and Patriots fans. Instead of dealing with NY football fans, they take it out on Yankees fans. Much like they did after the Pats cheated....err won their first Super Bowl.

Rumor has it that Gisele Bundchen just asked her agent for Tony Romo's phone number.

Listen, all things said and done...

Cheering torn knee ligaments isn't the worst thing in the world (though it's not great).

I mean, as a boxing fan, I know I've often thought about how really, I'm watching for one human to pummel another until he can't take it anymore.

After that, cheering injuries in football doesn't seem as bad (though again, not good either).

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I was at that game and the folks in my section certainly weren't cheering.

The thing I find odd about this statement, from Schilling, is that while the BoSox may be playing better then the Yankees right now, the last head to head championship between NY and Boston was the Gmen vs the Pats.

Seems to me that NY doesn't have anything to be jealous of in this respect.

What do I know?

:laugh2:

Schilling is a moron. The NY Giants beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl with Tom Brady, ruining their perfect season. Ny'ers will take a Lombardi Trophy over the Yankees making the playoffs for the 14th straight year anytime.

Plus there is a huge difference between rooting for someone to get hurt and being glad after the fact. As a Cowboy fan I love it. The Pats cheated for who knows how long and got mad when the Jets called them on it. Anyways, it's the Jets fans celebrating and they root for the Mets(who are in 1st place). Giant fans are Yankee fans.
