I don't think so. I think Joe Montana and Peyton Manning were better QB's.

And neither of them cheated.

So you would be one of the bitter/jealous ones. :)

Peyton to Brady is laughable so I wont even bother with that one.

Montana is definitely #2.

Montana was surrounded with so much talent it wasnt even fair. And he didnt have the longevity as Brady. 8 SB's with 5 wins beats anything close to what Montana had.

Brady's win yesterday with who? a couple pint size white guys and a no name defense. Didnt even have Gronk and it didnt matter. Even his kicker failed him. Missed an extra point. Best comeback of all time.

Its rather foolish to try and debate it.

Edelman is a quality receiver. But the fact is that time and time again, the Patriots defense comes to the rescue. Outside of Manning's last season in Denver, his defenses were always pretty lousy and he had to carry the entire team. Reggie Wayne without Peyton wasn't Reggie Wayne anymore. The same with Dallas Clark. The same with any of the O-Linemen that left.

Meanwhile, Brady had the greatest slot receiver of all time, the greatest deep threat WR of our generation and probably the most impressive athletic TE of all time. Montana had Jerry Rice who was phenomenal and a Roger Craig who isn't even in the HoF. And dominated in every Super Bowl performance in an era where the rules didn't greatly favor the offense.

Laughable all of it.

Greatest slot receiver of all time? LOL Wow how amazing.

Greatest deep threat? Who was that Moss? When he was over the hill and only for a couple years. You act like he had all these guys together over the last 10 years.

Roger Craig? LOL

Are you saying White is better than Craig? Is white going into the hall of fame?

And this "most impressive TE of all time" guy. Did he play last night? Or are you talking about Martelles Bennett?

He had Gronk for one SB title, thats it.

Rathman, Clark, Rice, Roger Craig, John Taylor.

Hogan, edelman, Bennett, White, other small white receiver

You want to debate that supporting cast?

# of Superbowls played=Brady 8 to 4
Most SB's won=Brady 5 to 4
Most passing yards in a SB=Brady 466 yards
Biggest comeback in the SB=Brady 25 points

The only thing Montana remotely has over Brady is that he never lost a SB.

Dont be bitter.......just acknowledge the greatest and most clutch player of all time. Its a shame certain jealous, biased fans cant enjoy the incredible Tom Brady.

By the way..........No one even cared about the slot receiver until Brady showed the world how much of a weapon they could be. Welker, now Edelman. More to do with Brady than anything else. Both those receivers play for anyone but Brady and they are nothing special. Both might not even have had careers if it wasnt for Brady. Welker went to play for Manning in Denver. What did he do there?

I'm not bitter.

I just don't believe Tom Brady is the greatest QB of all time. You seem bitter just by my mere opinion that is different from yours.

And he and his coach did cheat.

Talking about the deflated ball cheating thing is what people bring up when they dont like Brady or the success of the patriots.

As a pure fan of the sport you have to appreciate how incredible the guy is and what he has accomplished with all the changes every year to the offense and his team overall.

Deflating a ball a little. Who cares? Even if he did it. Which I 100% think he did. But again, who cares? Probably the most minor, inconsequential offense you could ever possibly do in football. Dumb rule anyway. My take is that the rule was made for kickers and not even for QB's.

If you seriously think the possibility of slightly softened balls has any effect on anything in a professional football game, you're real dumb. Meanwhile the league is full of steroid cheats and painkiller abusers. People love to bring up the bogus "scandals" around the Patriots because they don't like them and their obnoxious Baaaaahston fanbase, which is totally fine - but actually believing they amounted to a hill of beans on game day is deeply silly.

Brady tied the biggest Super Bowl comeback win in league history with league controlled footballs against the Seahawks, then had an even bigger comeback win in OT with them against the Falcons this weekend. Deflategate is maybe the dumbest scandal in the history of everything.

Chicken and egg. They don't like the Patriots and Brady because they continually cheat. Don't cheat and they wouldn't be hated as much. Joe Montana and the Niners were WILDLY successful. They were part of the rivalry so I 'hate' them in that sense, but I never hated Joe Montana. He was just incredible. And better than Brady.

I respect his talent and Belichick's ability to coach, but I do take intentional cheating very seriously.

Warren Sharp's analysis of fumbles per play during the time that the NFL changed the rule (along with Brian Burke's analysis backing up Sharp's) has to make you wonder.

I think you would agree that Belichick is the smartest of football coaches (which is like being the best tasting urinal cake in all of the urinals).

I would think that Belichick cheating and Brady cheating...they would do it for what they believed is a good reason.

And I think of the teams that lost Super Bowls to them (like the Rams where it was apparent that they spied in on their practice) and my level respect for them as people is less and less.

Either way, I still don't think he's the greatest QB of all time. I think Montana and Peyton were better. I think Elway had the greatest all around skills of a QB I've ever seen. Brady was much more effective, but Elway had absolute crap around him that would make Danny Amendola look like Lance Alworth.

I could care less about the deflating or the spying. Inconsequential to the debate that Brady is the best QB and player ever.

You may not like like him, but to deny that he is the best at this point is fodder.

And to imply that there are 3 others better than him is about as laughable as it gets.

There is 100% absolutely no debate anymore what so ever. Anyone that says differently is either completely biased or just bitter and jealous.

That may be true, but I'm still not obligated to like seeing his stinking face. j/k

Not one to cross positions when talking about the GOAT.

However, for a QB, hard for me to argue against him being #1.

Montana never lost a Super Bowl. Even Rex Ryan, who has a great deal of respect for Brady has said continually that Peyton was the better QB. From a pure skill set perspective, John Elway is the best I've ever seen. That doesn't make him better than Brady, but it warrants mentioning.

I think having the ability to know what the defense is doing thru spying would enormously benefit the QB. Ron Jaworski, ever the Brady apologist, did admit that spying greatly helps the QB if done correctly. Jaworski recalled a time when a backup QB on his team had noticed that a hand signal for an opponent to their defense would change to a certain coverage. The Eagles picked up on it and knew what coverages the defense were in and Jaworski said he had a field day.

Montana's credentials for his timeframe are every bit as good as Brady's and he did it in an era of tough defenses in Chicago, the Giants and the Skins. And he didn't need the help of cheating.

I take the garbage defenses that Peyton had to play behind, how somebody like Rex Ryan vouches for Peyton over Brady and how almost every offensive player that left Peyton's teams was never the same while they flourished with him at QB and I think that makes him easily a better QB than Brady. And he didn't need the help of cheating either.
