Tom Brady: 'My feelings got hurt' in Deflategate controversy

Tom Brady might have it all — dream job, dream wife, oodles and oodles of money — but he’s a human being just like everyone else.

That means the New England Patriots quarterback gets sad from time to time, and that apparently was the case this past week. Brady was at the center of the seemingly never-ending saga that is DeflateGate, and No. 12 took it hard.

Brady discussed the ongoing drama Monday morning on WEEI’s “Dennis and Callahan Morning Show,” and he’s just ready to move on at this point.

“It’s all speculation,” Brady said on WEEI. “I’ve tried to wrap my head around it, too. I’ve done that and I’m trying to move past that, because I continue to try to rehash things. I personalized a lot of things and thought this was all about me, and my feelings got hurt.”

Would not surprise me if Brady and Billicheck retire if they win the Superbowl.

Again, no pats fan, and
Throw rocks at me if you must--I'm used to it on this topic--but that was what I felt was going in his head at time as well.
The guy seemed fluster, but no because he was bsing, but accusations and speculations were flying and everyone basically was calling liar when he has no track record of being that..
Honestly, until someone proves he actually told a ball boy to purposely lower the air pressure below legal limit (not lowering, which they often do, but below legal limit on purpose...big difference) then he is being slandered. If Romo, or in the past Aikman, were in this situation, I'd be kind of ticked at the assumptions.

It may turn out that he has been lying, but I'd prefer to let the entire team investigating this thing do their work first.

I understand most everyone here disagrees with my wish for due process here, but I'll accept that.

Hey Tom

I liked you, respected you but now you can't imagine how much I despise you for covering up what seems to be an obvious cheating. Shame on you man. Shame on you.

Hang 'em high before the actual evidence is in. You'd been a real star in the old south!

I'm sure Tom is burning inside because the NFL has put him in the position of proving a negative, which can be difficult - if not impossible - to accomplish. The whole "investigation" has a real Inspector Clouseau "ready, fire, aim" feel to it. What kind of lunacy would cause the NFL to announce the balls were under-inflated, then hire an outside firm to investigate it? Why not just get a couple of people to follow and watch the balls after the refs checked them and released them and see if anyone was messing with them? If the league actually has proof the Patriots cheated their way to the Super Bowl, why are they letting them play the game instead of the Colts?

:)

I know right. But no seriously. This is what I believe. I think Tom is guilty but let's wait for the official result of the investigation.

I just love how Tom Brady is playing the victim after the cover-up that was Spygate.

When you got accusations of being communicated too after the 15 second cut off period, and the NFL simply blows the whole thing under the rug in 4 days, without even investigating Matt Walsh and his 8 tapes, I can only laugh at you talking about being clean..

I don't get why his feelings are hurt. Shouldn't he be mad?

I would be if I thought I was innocent.

What makes this victim act even more amusing is his sarcastic, condescending remarks after the game when they played that whole ineligible WR BS, followed by Brady's original snarky comments regarding the deflated balls, before this whole thing actually became big..

Both Brady and Bellicheat know this incident ties into the perception via Spygate. That's why they are flustered and a little scared.

Warren Sharp's number crunching in regards to fumbles with regards to the Patriots has become really big too. The NFL can't control the internet.

Yours is actually the sensible approach. As much as I don't really trust the league's front office, I'll wait to see what they come up with and go with it.

They really are treading in new territory here. The NFL has never had situation like this. But this is the way the NFL works, the only thing saving it is the fact they blew the colts out it wasn't some 1 score affair. This is the NFL right not the NCAA where they can take titles and wins.
