Tom Brady rips mediocrity in today’s NFL

I guarantee people post more about Brady than the subject matter.

I'm surprised it took this long to talk about this stuff.

I’ve noticed. Poor discipline, poor tackling, lack of professionalism. It is a multi layered thing though to me. Lack of live contact practice time (and time in general), fewer college programs with pro style offenses and development, QB’s increasingly told to tuck and run when plays break down (which has resulted in way more athletic QB’s that cannot read defenses), NFL front offices and coaching staff on maximum 2-3 year contracts all play a role.

Tom just voiced his opinion-Alex “I’m the face of mediocrity” Smith took exception to Tom‘s comments. He blamed the reduction in scoring on the golden age of defensive lineman-and that QB play has never been higher. The league rules have made passing one of the easiest ways to gain yards in the history of the league-yet scoring is down. Teams are basically playing for red zone defense-while acknowledging that stopping lots of team’s offenses is too difficult from 20-20 yard lines.
