Tom Brady turns 40 today

On the radio this morning people were talking about their favorite Brady stories. One in particular stood out to me. Apparently Brady like to go around and introduce himself to all the rookies and new players:

"Hi I'm Tom Brady, the quarterback, it's nice to meet you."

He deserves the GOAT label just for that, lol.

I like Brady, off the field of course. He has a polite & kind personality. Very soft spoken. I did cringe when he lied about his cell phone though. It was that obvious. Poor thing can't even lie good.

More Tom Brady stories. Apparently he never drinks but was challenged to a beer chugging contest. The whole team was there:

"We don't usually get to experience him like this, but we finally coax him into doing it. He does it, and let me tell you, you couldn't have poured out the beer faster into a glass. It was unbelievable. And he slams the mug on the table and puts both fists in the air. He walks away with a look on his face that said, 'You really thought you were going to beat me on this?' The place went nuts."

My favorite Tom Brady story is going 18 and 0 and then LOSING the Super Bowl to end the "perfect" season 18 and 1. I know, it sucks that it was our rival the NY Giants who did that to them, but it was still worth a good laugh.

The ONLY time I ever really cheered for the NYG - I wanted the smug SOB to get his and he did. The only downside is all the cred Eli got for getting stupid lucky.

I'll give Eli credit for being a good quarterback who came through in the clutch when his team needed him. There was some luck, but the same is true of Staubach's Hail Mary. It was a combination of skill and luck. Nothing wrong with that.
