The red pants are fine. The haircut is terrible.

I am sure Tom Brady cares what a bunch of cowboys think on the internet :).

Lol. People saying Tom Brady isn't cool. Yeah, because winning multiple Super Bowls, NFL MVPs, and marrying one of the hottest women ever is all negated because some guy on the internet doesn't like the hat you wear. I'm sure whatever outfit you get from Ross or Target is so much cooler.

This is pretty damn funny

And Jim wasn't cool in that photo, he himself would have said so. Even Elvis wore a tie sometimes early in his career. It was part of the times. To get good press, you had to dress up and be clean cut for the public in photo shoots, or just in public in general, etc. One of the reasons the Beatles went from black leather to suit and ties, because their manager wanted them to have a more clean image.

I like individuality. Wearing a suit and tie takes that away. The tie has no functional purpose.

I don't think it does. From what I remember, I think we're about a generation apart... I'm 27. So maybe it's just a generational thing? Kind of goes back to one of those music threads, where I think it was you who was one the side of "there is no rebellious music anymore"-- just generational differences in what's cool.

Hope it doesn't seem like I'm attacking you, because I'm not. But a lot of people my age think a nice suit is "cool". It's a sign of success and you really don't lose too much individuality, IMO. I think maybe you just haven't familiarized yourself with the different styles and ideas and what it says about a person. Plus, ladies love a nice, tailored suit. That's just my association. Yours seems a little different and maybe that's why it's 'uncool' to you.

Cool is subjective though, so I'd be dumb to call you wrong.

A tie doesn't serve a purpose except for helping express individuality and looks nice. Not everyone enjoys looking like a hobo.

Troy Ailman always looks great in a suit.

I'm sure he prefers the casual look but he sure looks classy in a suit.

I'm 60, and I love a good suit. You can make it as individual as you want with your choice of shirt and tie.

And you are right, ladies love a "sharp dressed man", ... just ask ZZ Top.

Clean shirt, new shoes
And I don't know where I am goin' to
Silk suit, black tie
I don't need a reason why

They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man

I feel like suits are typically timeless regardless of generation. Generation X was extremely anti-conformist though, and I thought I remember PJ saying he was in his early 40s which would've put him around his late teens early twenties when the grunge movement was rampant. Thought that might be a reason, but I also just may confusing him with someone else.

individuality? How. I see a piece of fabric hanging down from the neck. So people in other countries who don't wear ties are hobos I guess. lol

Hey, if suits infringe on your cool factor and you just kinda want to be your own guy/girl, NP. Just put on a suit and leave your fly down.

Suits aren't necessarily cool, but some suits can be cool. There are plenty of suits that look drab and boring; however, a good suit can be made that looks good. As with most things a little quality matters. So does style and fit. And of course the man makes the suit in most cases.

I don't like them but I am sure those red pants cost him a ton. They aren't wrangler specials, that is for sure.

Well they probably cost a lot to buy retail but my guess is that due to his wife the manufacturers just give him anything he or Giselle want for free. They probably get more stuff given to them than they could wear in a year.
