Tom Landry had a three year rule. If a player isn't showing you something by the 3rd year, it's time to cut bait.

I am a fan of Garrett. But he's really been neutered as has Romo by how things are run in Dallas. They've spent so much time and energy trying to make Tony somthing he's not, they've missed the bigger picture.

Callahan is not the answer at line coach, play caller, whatever. He aint it.

Holy crap is this defensive scheme beyond abysmal. The defense isn't even competitive. Every competent QB they have faced has torched them for a 400 burger. And last night the Saints just pushed them all over the place. Injuries aside, Monte should be dismissed immediately. Today

Three straight years of .500 and there are more signs of regression than progression. I think the JG era has gotten as far as it's going to get. Time to make a change.

These guys can go to:

Every LB except Lee. They all seem to be retreads who have no presense on the field. What has happened to such a promising career for Bruce Carter? He's a below average LB.

Every guard on their roster except Waters. (who's probably one and done anyways) They all suck at something.

Next years draft should consist entirely of lineman.

We built are team outside in. We need to address the trenches on both sides. I love Smith and Frederick on the Oline, but we don't have anyone who has that type of impact on the Dline that is young.

3 year rule was nice when you could sign a guy for 20 years. The reality in the NFL is that most rookie NFL contracts are 3-4 years. You don't have that luxury anymore. High Schools and Colleges have Pro class weight rooms and training programs. They are running the same offense in high school that they run in the pros. It is a different game now.

I was referring more to the coaches with the three year thing

JG had half a season as Interim HC when just about everyone knew he was going to get picked for the permanent position. He had been with the team for 3 years before that. He knew the players and everyone else on that team. His supporters claim that he has had virtually a blank check to get the players he wanted. So this team is supposedly what he wanted both in players and staff. Even with the injuries we should be showing more than we are. How we play; how we game plan; NOTHING is working well.
