I believe it was last week that someone posted a thread about offensive rankings under Landry. For the life of me I can't seem to find it. I went back 15 pages of threads and don't see it. Could someone please help me out. I found the stats and information to be very interesting.

Try a thread search if you remember about what that thread was titled.

I posted something about INTs in the Dennis Thurman years as a player vs. the Campo years as a coach. Probably not what you were looking for though.

The author of thread listed stats about offensive rankings under Landry like total offense and points scored. I believe we never were ranked lower than 14th in NFL in total offense per the post. I think the individual was making an argument that a head coach can be the head coach and still be the offensive coordinator but I could be wrong.

Okay. Were any players from the Landry years named? It would make a search a lot easier.

I didn't see the thread but you can see the stats here: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/dal/

We ranked #1 in offense 6 times and in the top-5 17 times! We only ranked outside the top-10 4 times in Landry's 29 years.

Being 12 out of 13 teams (1960) and 14th out of 14 (1964) is not much of an accomplishment but the others I quoted are.

We also had a top-5 defense 11 times in the Landry years.
