Selective amnesia becomes an epidemic.

What do I mean by selective amnesia? Simple, by the end of this season a lot of people will selectively forget the eulogy they have pronounced over this team and the players.

Some will remind us that before the season they had the Cowboys. They will forget that when things were bad, they had shovels and were throwing dirt.

They will choose to forget that part. Hence the qualifier "selective." It's not the type of amnesia suffered by a blow to the head, though I won't deny I have wished to deliver a few knots upside several people in the media's heads.

Tonight, the Cowboys begin to run around their fortunes on this abortion of a season that despite a hundred epitaphs to its rueage is not over.

Either that or I eat a nice big helping of crow and begin throwing up. Either way, tonight it begins.

Eh, I'm just going to try and enjoy the game. If we win, fantastic. If we lose, the season is probably over anyway.

I have no idea what to expect from this team tonight. Conventional wisdom says they will continue to make mistakes and will lose a close game.

But, i can't pick against the boys. Win this one and then we get the jags next week. That would give us a little momentum heading into green bay, ny, and then detroit. The potential is there the next 4 or 5 weeks for us to put ourselves in great position for a playoff push. We have some games against teams we will be competing with for playoff spots.

I think the turnaround starts tonight... but i still would not be surprised if we lost

I hope so Hos. I'm going to the game next week for Halloween, I hope we are still playing for something at the time.

your right hos but as a fan its one game at a time and recent history against this team doesn't bode well..i will be cheering..i will be crying..but in the end..I just want a win...will this team respond or show some passion tonight? I must say I have my doubts especially after the past few "must" win games..anyway GO COWBOYZ!!!!

well the fanbase is fired up, you can see by the smoldering smoke coming off the logs. Whos going to fire up the team is my question? What do you really say, "we have to preform because our backs against the wall?" well why didnt you perform before putting your backs to the wall?

This is where the fans come together and say regardless of the record, we're fans til the day we die. Your either in it or out of it and id rather ride a 1-15 season and say I was a Cowboy fan all the way instead of jumping ship because things got bad.

This is still the best franchise in my opinion and even if only my opinion, than its mine to cherish. I could never ever root for another the way i do for the Boys and i refuse to talk about the draft before the body is cold.

So heres to a great game, injury free, and maybe somehow a spark has been lit under Wades butt and we see the team we've been dying to see all season.

And if not, well ill still be here for all the gloom and doom instead of on someone elses message board.

Couldn't be playing a tougher team...even when things are going well for us, we've lost 4 of the last 5 games against the Giants...tough matchup to try and get well on.

Tonight, we either ball or fall. The choice is the team's.

I'll watch every week no matter what, just because I like to armchair coach, but one way or another one of two directions I think will be solidified tonight. Nothing in the middle.

I hope youre right... And as always, I expect my boys to win.

I will be there also, but I have a bad feeling about tonights game. I hope I am wrong.

Tough matchup for us, but we can get it done if we execute. Hopefully these guys are fired up with their backs up against the wall.

We lose tonight, then the season is definitely over. The only question is, when do you start giving the young guys like sean lee, jason williams, and choice more playing time.

For the first time, all season I have a really good feeling about this team tonight. I may be wrong. But who cares; I'm a fan it's my right to have rose-colored glasses. I like 'em. :D

Do or die, put up or shut up, now or never, the last stand...pick your cliche, tonight is it. Are you with me? Are you ready?
