I think tonight settled the argument about which is more important: great corners or pass rush?

Dallas has one of the lower 3rd OL's in the league and the NYG has maybe the best DL in the league.

However the difference in the game was Dallas hitting slant after slant to neutralize the pass rush. NYG couldn't stop the slant b/c of their corners.

Dallas however was able to hold the receivers at bay and give the pass rush more time to get to the QB.

Both worked for us tonight.

Giants just won a Superbowl last year with a terrible secondary and an amazing pass rush.

I don't think this is settled but tonight was definetely about the Cowboys DB's and Middle LB's in coverage.

This is why you draft Mo Claiborne instead of a guard.

Risen Star is mad somewhere.

Do you guys realize we played press man coverage the whole game? Hatcher's sack was a coverage sack. Our CBs, including Scandrick, BLANKETED their WRs. Cruz was scared of Church and Sensabaugh. I love it.

On that last Giants drive, there was a point where I was begging us NOT to play press coverage. And then Carr makes a huge stop. Of course they scored, but that drive forced them to take a couple minutes off the clock.

:laugh2:

The FO's off-season plan looks brilliant so far.

The big difference tonight was the lack of RAC yardage that our D gave up. They gave up a few big passes, but there was no where near the yardage after the catch that we've seen in the past. And, honestly, that's what has killed us so often. Our corners are finally playing good technique (bye bye Dave Campo) and they are making tackles after the catch because they are coached to stay in good position.

Good news btw... Mike Jenkins is on his way. The rich get richer.
