1. Thomas, Butler, Reeves, Jones and Ball with Newman's foot at least of these guys needs to show up big tonight at CB, nickel DB and on STs.

2. Folk without Gramatica kicking...will he keep it up and remove any doubt he's our guy, or will he relax thinking he's won the job?

3. The OL, especially Flo and Colombo, will they regroup from the crappy outing versus Houston?

4. Spencer, Carpenter and Glymph will they take it up a level to make Ellis' return moot?

5. Moore in what will likely be extended time, will he force us to keep 3 QBs?

6. Returns for and against...so far the only thing we've done okay at is our KO returns, both coverage units have sucked at one point or another and we have done nothing positive at punt returns.

Anyone think Miles Austin makes the cut? I like him, but...

I don't know if Hoyte is playing, but if so, it would be good for him to get a little bit of work in before the Giants game, IMO.

I'd like to see Stanbach also play quite a bit. Hopefully we try to throw the deep ball to him this game as well. Maybe try him on a reverse. Basically get him more involved. At least I'd find that interesting . . . .

These 2 are what I'm watching for -- please someone from that CB group, step forward and make something happen. The Reeves and Jones' of the world, they've been here long enough, it's time to put up, or get out.

And I'd like to see Carpenter make a move tonight towards showing us fans that he is the future either at OLB or ILB for the Cowboys.

I think he still makes it. But probably more due to his special teams play.

That said, if after the cuts we find a punt returner/WR candidate, it's going to be a close call.

I gotta say, I hope we keep Matt Moore. I really think if he can grow some this year, he could be a Matt Shaub type of player. Someone who can come in off the bench and not lose a game for us. Manage it well and so on. I hope we do keep three QBs for that reason.

I like the idea of grooming a young QB to be the backup. Possibly trading him in the future or having someone dependable in a pinch like Garrett during his backup duty.

Matt Moore has some talent...! I hope he sticks around and learns like Romo. The Cowboys cannot just bring in QB's over and over and over again! They need to find one (like Moore) and stick with him for a few years...

This is the same thing that happend with #8...after he was gone, there was exactely nobody! The Boyz started signing baseball players, right and left! :bang2:

I'd like to see consistent pressure on the QB.

Solid run defense.

I think we're ok everywhere else. Contrary to many I think that we are ok at cb and that all this talk by coach about needing to step up is just him doing his job.

#1 is pretty important. Not so much for Tnews injury as we just need quality back ups.

I am wondering if Flo and colombo are playing as to address #3? I was a little surprised they were starting but it could be an effort to get them synched up.

All valid.
