This is my opinion about tonights game.

I really believe this is a defining game for this young Cowboy team if we can go into Philly on a Monday and kick the wounded beast around that is backed into a corner and is going to be fighting hard then we have taken the next step towards being a playoff team.

If we lose I think this team is taking a step back; this is the type of statement game that you must win. It is a division game on the road and high profile.

Thoughts are welcomed agree or disagree ?

I agree, not do or die, but it will tell us what kind of team we have!

And also a defining game for us fans. I am not sure about everyone else but I am a fan on the verge of having a great deal of confidence in our team - confidence that not only do we have the talent to compete and make a run in the playoffs, but the mental toughness to do it also.

Mental toughness to go into Philliy, with or without TO - does not matter, and win the game.

If we can do that then, this team, and us fans get confidence to go into Washington, NY and Carolina knowing they can win on the opposing teams field when it really counts.

Agree..it will set the tone...Gints lose...Foreskins lose.

We play the defending NFC champs in their house on Monday night...we win...that's a STATEMENT!

I disagree that it would be a step back if we lose. It's not like we're playing the Saints or Texans. Sure it would hurt but the Eagles are no slouches, particulary at home. It would just be a huge opportunity lost.

Now if we win this game it would do wonders for our team confidence.

It may not be a step back, but it would indicate that we haven't stepped forward as far as we thought though.

If we are able to go to Philly, and beat the defending NFC champs, on Monday Night Football, thus sweeping them for the season, then that would show that we are able to go on the road and win tough games.

Which would help our team when we travel to NY, Wash & Carolina.

Yes, this will be our defining game. It's much like the game the Bears played several weeks ago against Minnesota, just following the "love Boat" incidennt. I was at that game. Minesota came into Chicago and played the Bears tough early on. But the Bears pulled the upset and got a respectable vistory against the division's former good-team. Emotianally that game propelled the Bears. Follwing that game you started to hear Bears' players on Chicago sports radio talk about how they "believed" hoe good they were. They are currently in first place because they've held onto that belief.

This Cowvoys-Eagles game is no different. If the Boys win thay will gain a "belief" in themselves that will lead them to a divisional title. If they lose it could instill "doubt" only because of how young they are at many key positions. That kind of doubt could spin them out of a division race, and mybe out of a wildcard race depending how strong the "doubt" becomes. What makes this such a pivotal game is how the outcome - win or lose - will affect the Boys' young players. That impact can affect the rest of the season.

Every team on it's way up faces a statement game and this is that game for the Cowboys. A win tonight should propel this team to an 8-3 record before the final push. A loss would not prohibit the Cowboys from having a good season, but would tell them they are not as far alolng as we - and they - thought.

We all understand the emotion is on Philly's side, but an objective look points to the Cowboys winning. Philly= Rookie C, DE TE & WR's, suspect OL & DB's and non-existent running game.

Hopefully the Cowboys come out aggressive and put the Eagles on notice things have changed in the NFC East.
