Just thinking he has the defensive background and more importantly INTESTINAL FORTITUDE to guide this group of under achievers. He probably wouldn't want anything to do with it, but...........its' a thought.

Desperado, why don't you come to your senses...

fair enough brainpaint..................last night was rougher than rough....not thinking straight....but that doesn't matter: hopefully JJ will think straight when he has to make this decision.

I just say that because I think Dungy would not be the right person but even if he was, he is done with coaching.

I think Dungy would be a great coach, but this team is beyond coaching. We've tried every type of coach there is, and it's the same old story. If I were Jerry, I'd be dumbfounded as to what to try next.

Tony Dungy is the only retired coach out there that I would want coaching this team.

If he wanted to jump back into Coaching, yes, I would take him in a heartbeat.

And anybody saying Wade > Dungy, is just being silly.

I wouldn't mind Dungy. He wouldn't be my first option but I wouldn't be upset having him.

There are about 4 guys out there right now that I'd be pleased with having and Dungy would be one of them.

No doubt about that .... but I would take Holgrem and Shanahan over him.

I think Holgrem may be just what Tony needs.

My desired coaches are in no particular order

Garrett
Holgrem
Rex Ryan

Yes, I agree.

I wouldn't take Garrett over Tony Dungy.

If I had my way, I would take Bill Cowher, Mike Holmgren or Tony Dungy.

Rex Ryan has his team playing great, but right now, I don't take him over those 3 proven guys.

I love Tony Dungy as a person and I'd be proud to say he was our coach, but fans here would've declared him a bust a long time ago if he took as long to win as he did in Tampa and Indy.

Right, but it takes a strong Owner and/or GM to recognize that a coach has talent and that the fans are just fans.

The fans in Dallas wanted to get Tom Landry, so it is no surprised that they would turn on Tony Dungy.

Thats how I feel as well.

I love Dungy as a person and as a role model, but Dungy's style is too much like Wade Phillips. I fear the Cowboys would relax under his laid-back style.

I want a hard-nosed coach. Enough with these coaching enablers.
