Tony Dungy

avaj

This might be the last year Dungy will be the with the Colts.

What is your thoughts about him coming to the Cowboys? He is well respected not only by his players also by his peers.

Do you think he coaching style would work with Cowboys? Or do you think he would be too soft.

He has had his share of players with trouble or that are outspoken so to speak, Keyshawn and Sapp for example

Thoughts??

Dungy wants to spend more time with his family. He loves it in Indy and Indy loves him. If he wants to continue coaching it will be there. He would never take the Cowboys job.

Not a chance.

1. I seriously doubt he'd want to come here.

2. While their roster isnt a bunch of choir boys, Colts players in general arent like the Boys. Their receivers are nothing like our receivers. Their QB is nothing like our QB. Their style of play and discipline is nothing like our players. Their locker room is nothing like our locker room. Dungy isnt challenged in Indy. Their ownership isnt like our ownership. He'd face more challenges in a day in Dallas than he has his entire stay in Indy.

No way he would leave Indy and Jim Irsay for the cluster that is the Dallas Cowboys. Only reason he was talking about retiring was to spend more time with his family.

Dungy is truly an outstanding coach.

Now way he would want any part of this mess.

I'm asking more of do you think his style of coaching would work here.

A lot of coaches have plans to retire and do this or that, but once a offer is presented some reconsider.

I love Dungy, I do, but there is no way he's retiring from the Colts just so he can come to Dallas.

No, I don't think so. Dungy's attitude and approach works in large part because underperformers who wouldn't respond to his calm demeanor get absolutely reamed by the first ballot hall of famer they have under center.

His style wouldnt work in most places, IMO. His style works in Indy cause the situation is right. His players dont challenge him. His ownership doesnt get in his way and challenge him. His locker room leaders dont challenge him. First sign of conflict with T.O., he wouldnt even get support from the ownership here.

He is a man of "faith" and that is something that we are all lacking right now! For good reason, but...
