Very sad. 55 is too young to pass away, especially for an ex-athlete. I heard the Goose died of a heart attack...and that heart attacks ran in his family, especially since his father died of a heart attack. May Goose rest in peace. Condolences to his family and loved ones.

Whoa -- that's sad news, indeed. May he rest in peace and condolences to the family. He was always highly entertaining to listen to. His description as a "colorful character" was definitely well earned. I felt like he had a delightful sense of humor. It's too bad that he's gone at such a young age. There's no doubt but what he'll be sorely missed. His on-field commentary was something special.
