Tony Grossi: Two Cowboys questions (Henry trade?) from Browns paper Q&A

Hey, Tony: Seeing how the Cowboys need depth at receiver, would you be willing to trade Travis Wilson for the Cowboys' fourth-round pick next year? I definitely would. -- Brandon Sarratt, Columbus, Ohio

Hey, Brandon: Jurevicius' ongoing knee problem has elevated the stock of Wilson to the Browns. He's had a decent off-season. I would, however, include him in a trade for Henry.

Hey, Tony: I wanted to know what you thought the Browns' next move will be. It seems that every week some idiot brings up the same names as the weeks before and you consistently give the same responses about each! So, what names do you speculate that the Browns could possibly be looking at and what scenario do you see anything happening in? -- Zach Menke, Lima, Ohio

Hey, Zach: If Joe Jurevicius can't play, they have to bring in another receiver, somebody to compete with Kevin Kasper and Travis Wilson for the No. 3 job. They've expressed some interest in San Diego's Eric Parker, who's available. They prefer someone with more size than Parker, who's six feet, 180 pounds. The more urgent need, of course, is for a veteran cornerback. I still believe they should make a pitch for Anthony Henry of Dallas, but the Cowboys want to get through their preseason without an injury before considering a deal.

isn't that 4th rounder going to tennessee? (barring no adam jones gaffs)

the media speculates just like we do. all this is.

Henry is going no where. The guy clearly doesn't know what he's talking about other than the fact that the Browns are in dire need of corners who can actually play. So he just chose a team with serious corner depth and is attempting to make a story where there isn't one.

We finally have some serious CB starters & depth at a very vulnerable positions and some idiot in Cleveland thinks we might be willing trade the only one of 2 starting vets that we've got. Henry isn't going anywhere. Worst case scenario he moves to FS and Hamlin moves to SS in 09. But he all depends on whether Adams has no off field problems and Jenkins/Scandrick develop along with Ball, etc. Anyway, the Browns got nothing we need unless they are somehow a part of a 3-way trade which gets them a CB they need & the WR we want. Now if the Lions need a CB & willing ship Roy Williams to us for Henry & our 09 first rounder plus a 2nd day pick then we might talk; same goes for Boldin in Arizona.

I don't believe we would give up Henry.....he is too valuable in our D on passing downs

I agree. We would be one injury away from having a similar poor DB situation as last year.

Seriously doubt Henry gets moved, especially since he may move inside quite a bit on passing downs and could potentially be the FS of the future here.

However Alan Ball, Evan Oglesby and maybe even Quincy Butler could be shopped for low rd picks if they fare well duriung TC and preseason..

David
I think he could be if the price is right. We have depth at CB and he will be a UFA after next season. I doubt we'd re-sign him at the current prices, so why not get something for him now while we can?

Not saying it will happen, just saying it is not all that far fetched.

Personally I think we will shop him as soon as Adam Jones is re-instated.
