If any of you guy enjoy golf this one is for you. Now, it's not a bad analogy.so if you will?..here is the turth.

@toddarcher: Since Romo is such a golf guy, let's use a golf analogy: he's on the back nine. I don't know how anybody could think otherwise. He is 34. He is coming off two back surgeries. He is in his eighth year as a full-time starter. Just because he is on the back nine doesn't mean he can't play at a high level. I know the odds are stacked and thirty-something quarterbacks haven't won a lot of Super Bowls here lately, but I'd take my chances he's on Holes 12 and 13, if you will. He still has football in him, provided he can stay upright. I do think Romo is smart enough to adapt his game as he gets older. If you allow me to carry on with other sports analogies, here's another one: fastball pitchers can develop into multipitch guys over the years. Romo has done a lot on his own with some improvisation and ability to buy time. I don't think you'll see him run around as much as he did when he was younger. I think you'll see him pick and choose his spots. I believe he did some of that last year, which is one of the reasons his sack total was so high. He was willing to take the sack -- not necessarily the big hit mind you -- and move on to the next play rather than take a risk of a hit or a poor throw.

My hope is this "D" does more than they are suppose to..i mean if we are drinking the "homer wine" today, get in and you never know. or.....keep him up-right and healthy this year and keep finding the second level rotation guys on the other side and draft and work FA next year and have a real shot.

got to love Tony..forgive me but, ..the man needs a break if it dosn't come soon that famous "window" will close.

Well, hopefully by the 14th hole he improves his LEADERship so he can LEAD us to a Super Bowl... hey, now I get it! The fact-ignoring dummies were right all along!

He's on hole 12th of his local golf course, he'll never sniff Augusta or any other master's golf course. Burn!

Let's say Romo got a special invite to Augusta and somehow found himself within 2 shots of the lead entering the 12 hole on Sunday. This is the start of Amen Corner 3 of the most feared holes in major championship golf. Knowing Romo he would end up dunking several balls into Rae's Creek blowing himself out of contention. The last image we have of him on the course would be with his pant legs rolled up standing in shin high water attempting to extract his 8th shot from Rae's Creek only to swing and whiff. After the tournament Romo and Candice are escorted to the Van De Velde suite named after Jean Van De Velde who's only claim to fame was ending up in Barry Burn on the final hole of the 1999 British Open en route to blowing a 3 shot lead.

When it comes to wins and losses this year, whatever hole anyone thinks Romo is on won't matter a hill of beans. Defense will once again determine our fate and what we are able to accomplish.

When I started reading this, unfortunately, the reference that I made in my head is to current golfer Tiger Woods who can't get on the course because of back issues....I got that cold shiver thing going....

Don't worry, we all know the drill. If we win, it's because Tony single handedly willed the team to win. If we lose, Tony is blameless. Got it.

How can Archer possibly be so oblivious to the fact that Tony has already drastically changed his game.

Romo is on the 17th hole. Thinking otherwise will backfire and cripple this organization
