Tony Pauline: Cowboys may have hit a home run with Kaiir Elam

You are totally wrong and need to go directly to google. Throwing out idiot savant has nothing to do with this. You didn’t answer two questions I ask?
He doesn't have the savant part, down just yet. Lol

Does this mean we're doing to stop having our corners play 10 yards off the line on 3rd and 7?

Like the physical traits, we have to get more aggressive and stop giving receivers seperation at the line. Hope he can resurrect his career.

Sometimes people just need a change of scenery or new coaching. I'm not mad at all these former 1st round pick signings at all. They are all decent signings.
Well, you could figure that though they maybe weren't worth a 1st round selection they could still a good player.

Wrong analogy.

A home run implies we’re taking big swings at legit opportunities to improve.

Title should be “Dallas may get lucky at penny slots”

As most of us know, Pauline has some serious ears inside league circles. This is good to hear but......

Buckle up ladies and gentlemen.

The a-social media PR machine is about to take off.

Get them some clicks. Or do you want to be the ones which are guilty that those who fell through the cracks cant feed their families anymore?

Idiot savant. answers both questions.

you need to actually research and find out what idiot savant means rather then being lazy and just googling

Its inaccurate though. Eberflus plays Zone defense. Plus if his problem is confidence after getting beat, thats a major problem for a CB. And not a fixable one
Yeah, it's a head-scratcher for sure, but maybe Eberflus plans to use him as a slot ( Lewis replacement ). Does that make sense?

That sounds pretty good to me. Maybe the light switch will get flipped on this summer and the Cowboys traded for a serviceable CB! Good article.
here’s hoping. woukd be more confident if al harris was still here

Eburflus plays mostly zone
Pauline is a year too late
Exactly I don't get this, Eburflus has run traditionally zone concepts with cover 2 and 4.

Unless they are going to run mainly man, then how does this article make any sense.

He is just another low risk, low cost, “change of scenery” former first rounder wish-list addition.

At worst he is a vet that can provide some situational depth snaps.

He isn’t the “savior” of the secondary, he isn’t replacing Lewis, and he isn’t a projected starter.

I would be shocked if we don’t draft at least two CBs in April

Maybe he'll be a steal, maybe he'll be Andrew Booth 2.0

Either way, we didn't give up much.

Once you become Johnny Law, you'll part of the "establishment" you'll never be one of the guys again bro! Stay a rebel!
Good point, but this has been my dream!!! Decisions!!!!!!!

Seriously.

Someone posted Eberflus' coverage tendencies in Chicago on another thread. The numbers showed Eberflus' secondary played in zone coverage ~85% (that is not an exaggeration) last season.
Maybe the DBs Eberflus had to work with weren’t adequate to a man scheme. A good coach doesn’t push square pegs into round holes - he recognizes the strengths/weaknesses of his personnel and adjusts accordingly.
