He's #1 in yards per rush for a Non-Quarterback. He's 4th in the NFL among all players. Behind Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Justin Fields.

Zeke 109 carries 4.1 average
Pollard 81 carries 6.2 average

What do you think is the reason Pollard only gets 10 carries per game? Is it because they don't trust him enough running between the tackles? I don't think it's as simple as "Jones are married to Zeke."

For me personally, I'm willing to just try the 6.2 yard guy for a few more games to see what happens. I'm not saying not have Zeke entirely. For short yardage situations, and certain passing plays I'd have Zeke (altho you can't always have Zeke otherwise they'll know it's a pass play), but I'd definitely try Pollard for most of the 1st and 2nd down carries. Zeke just creates 3rd and long situations too often, more than I'm comfortable with.

Your point is well taken; Pollard's value is second only to Micah's, for the five Super Bowl victories that Dallas won years ago.

Jerry Jones is the reason.

Obviously he is better than Zeke but he told his RB coach he was done and had nothing left after his last touchdown against the Bears. That wasn't after touching the ball 25-30 times that week or any other week prior.

He can't handle being a feature back. He's a deluxe role player.

Zeke has a dead cap hit of 11 million next year and 6 million in 2024. The only way they can get rid of him cost effectively is to sell his contract. A four year 64 million dollars contract is not something other teams want. So you guys are stuck with Zeke for three more years, at least.

Dang thats three more years of y'all crying about Zeke. SMH.

I don't get this "he can't run inside" crap I've seen this guy hit a crease where there wasn't one.
Then there's 2 yds and a cloud of dust
Pollard early and Zeke late if you want a Super Bowl run.

Bingo...they both benefit each other. They just need to use them to their strengths.

I like Pollard. The thing that I don't care about him is he can't block worth a darn when he doesn't have the football on a pass play. he gets whiffed and Dak can get hurt. If he can fix that, I would love to see Pollard more..

But is he a starting RB. Sounds like don’t want more than 15 attempts per game. Will a team pay him starting money.

He has dead money but a release would still free up 10.9 million on the cap in 2023.

Pollard wears down a little bit. He needs the bulk of his carries 12-15 within 3 qtr's. Zeke is a beast finishing games.

Wow, that is amazing....Zeke lovers here say that hammering the defense and getting them to quit is necessary so Pollard can get the easy peasy yardage. Even though he was gawking from the sidelines against the Bears. Then who was doing this hammering and bludgeoning of the defense? oh well, i agree Pollard should be used at least 60% to 70% of the carries.

this is what people forget when making the argument. Pollard should get his 15 but zeke should be given the rest to keep pollard fresh so he can be explosive.

I have zero issue with thunder and lightning and I’d like to see a little pony package too.

Zeke is more durable and pollard is more explosive, use them as such and we will have a devestating run attack that will open the pass

He will restructure. I don’t see him taking a pay cut. It maybe that Pollard likes his spot and will take 7 million or so per year. Maybe a good 2 year contract. Or pay per year.

Well damn it man be precise about what you're saying. lol-jk

Yeah a June 1st cut would bring 10 million. I didn't know you were talking about a June 1st cut, because you never mentioned it.

In the end you're RIGHT.

I can't say what the Cowboys will or will not do, I would expect to see the Cowboys to request Zeke to take a paycut. We will see at the end of the year but for now, it is all about the games and winning. I expect Zeke to be a big part of that
