Is this supposed to be Dalvin Cook?

Because...Pollard lol
That's what I was trying to figure out. Kind of a failed thread...

If the question is Cook vs Pollard it's 100% Pollard
If the question is Cooks vs Pollard it's still 100% Pollard

Assuming Pollard will be completely healthy, why would we debate this? Both are good player, but Pollard is younger, has less wear and tear, proved last year he could be at least as effective as Cooks (probably more so), and there is no either/or choice to be made anyway since Pollard is already on the team and under contract.

Cook. At least he doesn't get worn down carrying the load for 1 game.
I agree. I don't have the numbers but will never forget the game he ran all over us a couple of years ago. If he'd cut his hair I'd rather him.

Dalvin Cook has been the better overall back, but at 28 it appears he’s on the way down, which is why Minnesota moved on from him and no one has signed him yet. I would rather have Pollard assuming he returns to form.

Cook isn’t what he was a couple years ago. His yards per carry has been steadily going down. Granted, he still produced last season, but in the playoffs against the Giants he did very little. He hasn’t played well in his last two playoff games. He looks like a back that’s about to hit the wall. This is why Minnesota moved on, and no one has signed him yet.

Cook is going to be 28 in August and has six years under his belt with four seasons as a workhorse. No one wants to sign a back with mileage to a multiyear deal. Most teams are using two backs. He’s likely going to have to settle for a one year contract if he wants to play this season.

Who would you rather have?
I think I would have preferred dalvin cook but at the time he was available would have took draft stock and bigger money, once Tony Pollard accepted his tag this debate is moot.

I think having both people keep saying that it's ridiculous we already have too much money and bodies invested in the running back room plus the dead cap of $6 million still owed to zeke this year and next so let's let it go and let's roll what what we got let's see how training camp and preseason shakes out they'll be dudes out there if this running back by committee room doesn't pan out.

Minnesota moved on from him
This speaks volumes considering it didn't cost that much to keep him for another year. Then again they've purged a lot of vets, so maybe not. It's obvious they are going for the Caleb / Mays sweepstake. I'll give Cousins 8 games, maybe, before he's benched. In fact, it would not surprise me if they traded him before the Oct deadline.

Cook has been used to that role though. In both college and pros Pollard has been part time RB, part time receiver. I suspect that Pollard will be fine going into the season knowing he is the lead dog. I doubt the Cowboys will want a RB to carry over 20 times a game anyway. My guess is Pollard will be looked on for 15-16 carries and other RBs for another 8-10.
