2. The Cowboys will miss the playoffs

The loss of DeMarco Murray may hurt more than anyone realizes, even behind that imposing offensive line. The ability (and willingness) to stay balanced regardless of game flow was a big part of the Dallas Cowboys’ identity in 2014. Can Scott Linehan lean on some combination of Joseph Randle, Darren McFadden, Lance Dunbar and newly-acquired Christine Michael – an explosive athlete who struggled to figure out how to be a pro in Seattle – the same way? Orlando Scandrick’s knee injury knocked out one of the defense’s best players for the year. The cocktail of personalities in the locker room is potential cause for concern. And Chip Kelly’s remodeled Eagles are no pushover in the NFC East. The front-runners meet in Week 2 in Philly.

USA Today 2014 -

NFC East

Eagles 11-5 (4): Class of weak division. But can Nick Foles reproduce 2013 magic?DeSean Jackson's speed will be missed.
Commanders 7-9: If the line and RG3's knee hold up, this offense will be hard to slow, but defense may be year away.
Giants 6-10: Eli Manning's supporting cast is getting younger, even if he isn't. Team speed doesn't impress.
Cowboys 3-13: Tony Romo's back, defense are looking awfully frail. Dallas fans might end up pining for .500 teams.

I have a bold prediction. McFadden runs for 1200 yards and 4 tds, the other rb's on the team combine for 900 yards and 7 td's (Randle 400 yards, Michael, dunbar 200 or so yards each, not really that far fetched). Michael gets a lot of the short yardage td's and first downs once he is acclimated to the offense. Dallas leads the league in rushing and win the division.

Eagles and Murray start out strong, still won't beat us in week 2 but it'll be a barn burner. By week 10 Murray will significantly slow down and their offense starts to sag and they flop like they did last year towards the end stretch.

I love Murray, I love what he did for this team but history is a good predictor of future outcomes. Rb's with as many carries as he has had historically slow down. Murray's individual history is a history of not staying healthy for any season that was not a contract year. No disrespect to Murray or his talent but I boldly predict him finishing the season with 1100 yards and 5 fumbles. But a majority of those yards will come in the first six games and then he will slow down or get injured. I hope he doesn't get injured but again history is a predictor of future outcomes.

What they don't realize is that the Eagles have no secondary and will be burnt. There basing there success on the pre-season. LOL. What happens when we ram the ball down their throat and tire that defense of theirs. I am glad we are not getting respected.

I don't think it matters since there's been so much turnover but I think what really fuels a lot of these predictions is that dallas hasn't won 10 or more games 2 years in a row in a long time. People are nitpicking the roster in an effort to justify why that trend will continue.

I seriously am not understanding why everyone is jumping on the RB situation to say Dallas is going to be worse than last year. We pretty much know that the defense is going to be better, Romo should be better out of the gate, the OL should be better...and we have a question mark at RB.

So what? There are, what, 4 teams that don't have questions at RB? Gimme a break. It's tiring.

This Philadelphia Eagles' love every year is beginning to get beyond ridiculous.
