Tony Romo and interceptions

As Tony Romo nurses a sprained ankle before practice resumes this week, he can take solace in this.

When the Cowboys quarterback got through the season opener without an interception, it marked the 10th time in 40 career starts that he didn't throw an interception. If he does the same Sunday night against the New York Giants, he will go two consecutive games without an interception for only the second time in his career.

The only other back-to-back effort with no interceptions came in his second and third starts with the Cowboys. That's when then-coach Bill Parcells still had a tight reign on what he allowed Romo to do.

I really think Romo has turned the corner.

Dont know for sure, He did have some knuclehead throws in the 2nd Qtr , I think. When he was throwing into traffic and telegraphing comeback route , Luckily Bucs defenders couldn't hang on.:banghead:

Romo has OBVIOUSLY taken efforts to protect the ball, and be a bit safer with his passes. But he threw 2 easy picks yesterday that were missed or dropped. Could have easily had a few picks in that game.

As BP once said "Don't pull out the anointing oil yet"

Still though, Romo is elite either way.

Time of game and play. I don't remember these.

I know it's only one game but I like what romo is showing. Quality throws with good decisions. That's the Qb We need:D

One week does not make a trend. Just like we don't expect ware to go sackless for 2009, we shouldn't expect Romo to be interception free.

I hope he continues the trend because it was very nice to go through the opener without any turnovers. If we could string a few games of that together this year that would be really nice.

I don't expect him to go int free. Of course you want the QB to be careful with the ball but you don't want them to be overly hesitant either and afraid to make a play.
