I'm told Romo still has some soreness in right hand, but he will throw today. Cowboys will see how he warms up and decide about practice.

have 3 more full days of rest for him after today before the game. So it looks good so far if it is only a little sore NOW.

Romo played with a rib injury and a punctured lung, a swollen hand won't keep him put of this game :suxjints: :bicep:

I would think having him throwing the ball and working the hand is a good way to get some of the stiffness out of the hand. If the swelling is out use heat to ease the sorness.

I'm sure they will be able to get any swelling out of the hand well before Sunday.

I would think its more of how it will react once he throws and takes snaps. How the hand is tomorrow will be important.

True but if as has been reported he has no break then I don't see this being much of an issue as the week goes on. In ways he was lucky that it was a closed hand that struck and not an extended finger or thumb. I'm sure there is sorness in that hand but if there is no break they will have him ready to go.

Excellent point joe, I never doubted he would play.

This just sounds so good.

Archer stated in his article on ESPN that the passes Romo threw did not have a lot of zip on them, for what it is worth.

I can't imagine there was ever any real doubt that Romo would go Sunday night. I think he's more than proven this year that if there is anyway possible for him to play that he'll play.

I don't think that is particularly telling. I'm willing to bet he could put zip on the passes if he needed to but at this point, it's more a matter of rehabbing the hand over the next several days by throwing softly initially.

This.

Clarence Hill @clarencehilljr

Garrett said romo threw okay. He said the hand was still pretty swollen. He needs to make more progress.
Garrett said Romo got limited reps.

This is all lip service. Romo is playing. It would take a shot of thorazine to keep him on the bench.

It is a process. Working harder, getting better--today and everyday. His hand has to get better in all three phases.
