Tony said, "They'll be running a similar system or the same 25 years after I'm gone............"

Please, no.
The current braintrust will be dead or senile by then, if they're not already.

I hope not. That would really test my fandom

I agree mostly but I think we follow a timing based offense too much. Receivers can and should alter their routes in a timing based vertical offense at times but there are times when we appear to be too married to it. I think Romo does a lot of free wheeling though so this is more a question than an observation.

I still can't believe how out of it Romo looked in that Carolina game. Just seeing that picture irritates me.

I'm not sure what some of you guys think Romo did to overcome a severe back issue to put up a MVP type season in 2014 - eat chips and guzzle beer?

I am a huge Romo supporter. My favorite player since the triplets. Yes he came back after the back but he def would benefit from some quality time in the weight room and conditioning. When you start to look at the other QBs his age only Big Ben comes to mind as a QB with a midsection and no real definition. It can not hurt and may prolong his career...not like the boys are drafting a QB in the first rd anyway.

He didn't do enough collarbone calisthenics

^This. Bone injuries are much more likely the result of applied force than a conditioning deficit. Physics is the primary consideration in bone injuries unless an athlete sufficiently lacks some nutritional element (i.e. calcium, vitamin D, etc.) or suffers some physiological factor (i.e. osteoporosis) that weakens bone structure.

Athletes can have the musculature of Mr. Universe and sustain bone injuries if enough force is applied to a particular region of the body. Some people perceive all tackling or hits as equally impactful. That is a false perception. Football players in particular absorb some wicked trauma at times that seems ordinary to anyone not considering how much force is localized on a targeted player's body or exerted by the player onto themselves.
