Man this never get's old.

Do you remember the feeling you got when you saw him about to play??? Started off slow/bad vs the giants, then lit it up. Then the following week vs Carolina, i remember most of us on here being pumped.

Just never forget that feeling, you once had when we all saw Romo take over, and do good. How we all thought he was the savior. I will never forget, thats why i will never turn on him. He can do it man. I believe in him, i know it's cliche but i would not trade him for anybody.

I swear, as ****ed up as this might sound, i want him to get a SB so bad with us. Even if it means going through 5-8 years of hell(barely any playoffs, or SB). It would be worth it to see romo get a SB. If somebody told me we could get a SB next year with Romo, but suck for 5-8 years straight. I would do it.

I appreciate Romo

Sigh!!!

In hindsight, Romo wasn't all that impressive in 2006. He beat a bunch of bad teams, then fell flat on his face against the real contenders. He even lost to the freakin' Lions...at home.

Oh, and don't try to disprove my argument by bringing up the Colts game. Romo was just a good bus driver that day. Nothing more.

Say what you want but that #81 guy was a big part of what Romo was in the beginning. TO should have retired a Cowboy him and Romo were prolific.

'Twas dark days. I remember Testerverde getting serenaded off the field to chants for Drew Henson.

Romo may have his faults, but the Cowboys have a lot more hope now than just a few years ago.

I was at the Giants game when he took over for Bledsoe. Even though his first pass was a pick, it was obvious that he was magical in several ways. He has the fastest release and best pocket presence I have ever seen (early fumbles notwithstanding). Those are very rare qualities, and he has become in my opinion a top five, elite, NFL QB. I too hope he wins a SB, because if he doesn't he will never get the credit he deserves. No QB can overcome a poor o-line and continually poor defense year after year.

Here's to hoping we quickly fix those deficiencies so we can see what a blessing at QB Romo really is...(top 5 in QB rating and top 5 in YPA all time - - those are silly numbers that I wonder if anyone will ever duplicate).

:violin:

I too was at the game bledsloe got yanked. I don't remember the game much just remember being pumped that he finally got his chance. Since then he's grown to be my favorite current Cowboy.

If Terry Glenn's knee didn't go on him, I am thinking that would have changed things alot for Tony and the history of this team.

TO was quite productive, but Romo had even better seasons after TO left. Romo will get the ball to any receiver who is doing what he is supposed to, including TEs.

In the spirit of the OP, I can say I remember being re-energized as a Cowboys fan, watching Romo come in and take over the reins of starting QB. Without breaking down the X's and O's of everything, it was just a fun time to be a Cowboys fan, IMO.

Hope was welcome feeling, week to week, and that was a good thing.

Agreed. He was a bigmouth and at times a cancer.. but TO was a freaking BEAST on the field. He was a HUGE part of Romo's early success.

It would be the awesome. Just imagine training with Tony Romo at Cowboys Stadium.
