Late in the night of Sunday, February 1st, 2015. The blue and silver confetti is flying everywhere. Dallas fans are rejoicing, and the towels they were waving moments beforehand to pump up the defense are now being used to dry the tears of Patriots fans all throughout University of Phoenix Stadium.
Dez Bryant is yelling about something, with tears rolling down his over-emotional face. The media will try to turn it into something negative, but he doesn't care. He has fulfilled his lifelong dream, and he wants everyone to know.
Williams is strutting around, doing his swag-walk. Tyronasaurus, Ronnie, The Beardozer, The Punisher, and The Free-Man talk with the Patriots. Congratulations and sympathies, handshakes and hugs everywhere.
Some in the media turn their cameras towards Jerry Jones and the shirtless Governor Christie, both intoxicated on the field, celebrating with a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label. Cole Beasley seizes the opportunity and sneaks in one last photobomb for the season.
But there is another man who has been waiting so long for this moment. Far too long.
The media surrounds him, barely leaving him enough room to breath. Your Super Bowl XLIX MVP - Tony Romo.
"Tony Romo, you've just won Super Bowl XLIX. What are you going to do now?"
He looks at his son in his arms. Glances around at the falling confetti. Looks at Candice. For those of us who have supported him through thick and thin, his response couldn't have been any more beautiful.
"I'm going to Cabo", he says with that goofy smirk on his face.
