DIdn't see anyone post any recaps here. Nothing new or revealing, but he was good at explaining what Steelers and Packers do on Defense that confuses QBs or makes it tough on QB.

HE said they always have Safety Help, i.e. two deep and usually their corners take away quick slants, hence pressure or LB etc. have time to get to QBs. Which explains when they are spread out, they have tough time defending pass, if the QB is good.

Colin also talked a bit after Tony Left ( Colin is predicting Cowboys in SB next year, because he thinks Romo and Rodgers are pretty much similar QBs, and I think he thinks highly of Garrett), he said Tony is excited about the group they have and apparently he said, his Offensive Teammates are very close knit group. Tony told him that he is more comfortable because he feels like this is his team more now ( which he has mentioned to local media previously few times).

If anyone has access to insider here is the link to PodCast, if anyone is interested.

When wasnt it his team? Since he stepped in for Bledstud, it was his team.

Great. The year there won't be a season, the Cowboys are supposed to win the Super Bowl.

There's no season this year? Huh. News to us.

Yeah but he was still being coddled by his head coaches. He should have had more authority on what goes on in his offense (calling own plays). Last year you saw a little more leeway and I hope it continues.

I think he's referring to having authority now. Heck his input was needed for Wade's firing.

Look. Here's how I feel.

The lockout, in some way, is going to farg with the off-season and pre-season and it's going to disrupt the necessary bonding this team needs to go forward. That's how I feel right now.

NO it wasn't. TO was pretty much the Superstar when Tony got the reigns. Do we need to revisit that whole scenario now?

Instead of new thread, I'm going to put other interviews Romo did in here for anyone who cares. WARNING. He says the same, safe things over and over again, so nothing you haven't heard before.

Full SI Interview
SI.com: Is it hard to watch the Super Bowl come to Dallas after the rough season you guys had?
Romo: Yeah. You're excited that the NFL is bringing a Super Bowl to Dallas, but you're disappointed that you're not a part of it. It's just extra motivation to make sure you're playing in a Super Bowl next time.
SI.com: How are you doing?
Romo: I feel good. I've been ready to go for a couple of weeks. Usually after every season, you take time to recover from bumps and bruises, but I'm ready to go.
SI.com: What would you like to see the Cowboys do in the offseason to improve?
Romo: I'll just tell you this: We're going to have a good team next year. I wouldn't bet against us. I feel very strongly about our team. Whether or not there's a collective bargaining agreement, we're going to be strong and we're going to have people out on the field consistently every week. We're going be doing things that hopefully allow us to have an advantage.
SI.com: How do you feel about the proposed 18-game regular-season schedule?
Romo: I just want everyone to agree either way.
SI.com: So you wouldn't have a problem with it?
Romo: I love the game, I love playing the game. I know it definitely increases the risk factor for injury. I also don't line up and play D-line, where your body takes a pounding. So you get a different perspective depending on who you talk to. But I think everyone needs to slowly come to a conclusion on that and figure it out.
SI.com: Will you be at the game on Sunday?
Romo: I went back and forth on that, and I would be more upset watching the game being played in our home stadium, so I'm not going to be at the game. I'll probably be at my house with a couple of people watching the game.

I love that.

.

If you listen enough players etc. on different shows, to the same questions, the answers will be the same. So yeah most the stuff is same, like I noted.

But only thing unique was how well he explained the Pitt and GB D coverage schemes. I haven't heard that before from any other experts this week. Maybe someone did, but didn't hear it myself.

It also kinds of points back to why Wade's D failed his last year with Dallas. He left too much one on one and not much safety help. He didn't deviate from it even though it was failing.

I like Cowherd for the most part but no doubt he will bashing Romo and the Cowboys early and often next year.

Were how many years removed from TO?

Also Romo has waved the punt team off and the coaches have allowed it. Hes had power, hes had the team. I am a Romo supporter, but i think if he just now thinks its his team now, hes been foolish.

He used to till a year ago. I think 2009 changed his perception, i.e of Romo anyway. I think Trent Dilfer had a big part in it though.

Only thing I had beef about Cowherd was his whole Hat backwards thing, but he has ceased to do that, well not that much anymore. He didn't think much of Wade Phillips at all, which in the long run, he was right on.

Silly Tony. 51 people (and counting) think you should be embarrassed about not playing in the Super Bowl, not upset.

Shame is a better teaching emotion than anger.

No, he has been sayign that about couple years now..... He just said that to Colin, because he never talked to Colin before. Like said, its nothing new to us...... I thought I made that clear, but I guess I didn't.

This is what I love to hear. Almost Jimmy Johnson-esque when Jimmy said "Oh we'll win. And we'll win big!" Jason Garrett is bringing a whole different attitude and mentality to this team.
