Tony Romo is currently 27th on the all time passing yards list. Including last weeks game.
I did not adjust this to his average per game stats though.
He has 33,626 yards and started 124 games. That is just above 271 yards per game, and equates to 4339 yards per year.
There are 5 active QB's ahead of him. 23. M. Hasselbeck, 21. C. Palmer, 20, P. Rivers, 16. B. Roethlisberger, 15. E. Manning
I figure all of these QB's stay ahead of Romo except Hasselbeck. Considering all things stay equal and each play at the same level for the next 3 years.
So if Romo gets his average of 4339 yards this year. He would have 37,965 yards. He will pass DeBerg, Hart, Everett, Jim Kelly and McNabb. And Esiason as he has 37,920. Next is D. Krieg at 17 with 38,147
Keeping 4 of those 5 active ahead of him, he will be #21all time
In 2 years, at same pace he can have 42,304, passing Krieg, Unitas, Montana, Kerry Collins...huh?...LOL...at #12, so this would put him at #16, wih the 4 actives ahead of him.
3 years at same pace, gets much tougher, but he would have 46,643 yards. But he would pass fouts, bledsoe and Vinnie T. who has 46,233 at #9 currently. Fran Tarkington is #8 with 47,003 yards.
This would put Romo at #13 all time, unless he can pass one of the 4 in front of him, which I doubt it will bee. Manning or Big Ben as they are over 6,000 yards ahead of tony, and Tony is older. I doubt he passed Palmer or rivers either, if all stays the same on averages and health.
