Romo accepted a lifetime achievement award and gave what I considered a pretty good speech.

The highlight for me was when he talked about early in his career, it was all about what he could do individually. Make a team, become a backup, become a starter, become a pro bowler, win championships, etc.

Then he said the light clicked, he reached his 10,000 hour mark like Malcolm Gladwell talks about in his book Outliers. He suddenly had total faith in his abilities and said it wasn't about individual accomplishments anymore - it was about 'we'.

He wanted to win a title for the Jones family, Coach Garrett, guys like Jason Witten - he wanted it more for them, then he does for himself.

Really good stuff IMO.

Tony Romo, when you honestly look at him, is a difficult person not to like and to want to succeed. He's a very sharp guy who has worked for everything that he has. When he finishes playing, I think he would make a hell of a commentator or a hell of a coach.

No doubt.

It's crazy the expectations the national media have for an UDFA. There isn't a player, in any sport, more deserving of a title than Tony Romo.

And I have a feeling that before it's all said and done he'll at least get one.

Romo and Dirk are two Dallas guys I would love to hear commentate. I think both would be enjoyable with their humor and knowledge of their respective games.

He just has to.

Hopefully this year or next is our year.

Having a BA O-line that is young really opened our window for a long time but the Romo window is closing.

Tony Romo understands that 90 percent of the planet couldn't find its butt with a map and a flashlight.

He truly pays the nonsensical drivel no mind, and it's propelling him to greatness.

Being able to block out the noise in this overly digital world of mindless lemmings is the key to success these days.

He really is a very likeable person until you see his Direct TV commercial. I just want to punch his artsy drafty persona right in the face.

You could feel that when he was with family after the GB game. Obviously upset.......to the point of tears.

I'm not sure I'm gomnna be a whole person, football-wise, if Tony doesn't get a ring.

That's not healthy...........is it?

Best player on this team and hard not to stand behind him! As a fan I want a Championship for him!

Great stuff man thanks for sharing!

He is on his way to being my favorite all-time Dallas QB. Was too young to really enjoy Roger and Troy was just Troy......loved him but Romo has a lot more personality.
