He can't be in the game unless they sign him to a contract. He could come out on the court at some point, but not while the game clock is running.
Apparently they are signing him to a 10 day contract

So cool to see!! Now gotta grab his jersey. That 9 romo

If Tony and Mark really want to play this one up, they'd make his jersey with the number 1/8 and the name Gaedel on it. Somewhere, Bill Veeck would be smiling.

Might as well make it a trifecta......calling on you Rangers. Would love to see Tony take a couple of hacks at a big boy fastball!

Romo has already spend time in the Rangers dugout.

Romo's shot is pure and he could easily play a small amount of minutes and not embarrass himself. As long they didn't ISO him every time when he is on D.

Well, why not just make a TV show out of this. Tony plays all kinds of professional and Olympic sports. Sort of like Mike Rowe did Dirty Jobs. One week Tony could be on the ice with the Stars. Then the next week he could be practicing curling. He could be the guy who pushes the stone toward the target. Dallas FC could have him join the soccer team. Tony could don a bra and panties and be on a sand volleyball team.

On next weeks episode, Tony will be a professional bowler.

The season ending special, Tony Romo goes into the ring with professional wrestlers.

His sense of humor could carry a TV show.

Don't miss an episode of The Pro Show with Tony Romo.

They should let him check in and play too. They suck anyway it won't hurt anything.
He might not want to play.

Should be fun with warmups on during the shoot-around before the game. Drain a few threes and laugh it up some with a couple of friends.
Then sit on the bench and watch the game in his Mavs warmups.

I guess he could go in, but maybe that crosses the boundry from a harmless and polite tribute to a circus act?

Not sure

Fans will be calling for him late in the game if its not close. I might even go for the heck of it.

Mavs treating Romo with more dignity than most cowboys fans

Most is not fair.

Tony Romo is easily one of my top 5 favorite players. I got married last year and sent Romo an invite for the hell of it and he sent me back an autographed photo, that was awesome. I was also a vocal supporter of moving on to Dak, mainly because we only have 3 seasons to take advantage of Dak's contract before we have to pay him 200 million so we better see what we have now.

I also didn't think it was realistic him being a backup at his salary. It was time for team to move on. I do wish he got his ring though. Injuries limited the legitimate shots he could've had later in his career.

Some fans are downright rude though, they went away after 2014 but they came back this past season.

Yeah. The NBA is all man to man. No chance for him to eben dram of covering his man, who would probably be some lighting quick guard...lol.
Itd be pretty wild though, if on offense they ran him off a pick and he hit a shot.
