153 passes attempted, 109 passes completed... 71.2 completion percentage... 1394 yards (278.8 yards per game)... 9.1 yards per attempt... 10 TDs, 2 ints...

His quarterback rating in those 5 games is 115.8... his record is 4-1, and of course the Boys gave the game away to the Skins...

I think I'll take 5 more games JUST like Tony's first 5 over the rest of the season...

Agree. I think I'll have the same thing you just ordered but without the one lost game.

4-1 over the next five would be lovely, as long as the one loss isn't the Giants.

Need to take charge of the situation and ride the momentum.

Then again, 12-4 with the current play is definitely possible, but losing in Atlanta is possible depending on what Vick shows up and if they are still alive.

One game at a time, go Cowboys!

I was at the Carolina game, which was Romo's first start.

I left the game thinking "this kid is great, he is something special."

But I have waited until now, after 5 starts by him to say this, .. or ask this ?

Is he some kind of phenom or something ?

I mean, will he become known as this great NFL QB, winning us several Super Bowls over the next 10 yrs or so ?

He is great on 3rd down, great late in the game, gets better as the game goes on, ... I think he is something like 28-30 in the second half of the last three games. That to me is unprecedented, and amazing.

I know Parcells is saying "don't anoint him yet", and I understand and agree with that.

But are we watching the birth of what will become an NFL legend ?

This may be big.

I guess time will tell.

What other QB's have done this well over their first 5 games? Where are they at now? I'd be very curious to know.

Last week I wondered after the game if he could get any better. He answered me yesterday. I'm left asking the same question. Could he actually improve?

Heck, it would seem even hoping for this kind of consistency would be foolhardy.

But I'm hoping anyway. :D

As BP said not to, let's not annoint him yet.

He's been spectacular so far so we're all crazy, but let's see him keep this up and continue next year.

I think he can, I hope he can.

It's so nice to not cringe when the QB releases the ball.

I would have been ga-ga over an 85 passer rating quite frankly. 110 or whatever it is is just beyond comprehension at this point.

What amazes me is that he is doing things Staubach never did. 5 TD's in one game? Getouttahere.

Romo only threw 5 passes in the game because...

We didn't let him throw any more passes in the 4th quarter!

BP says that to try to shield Romo from the wild media praise he so deserves.

I think its all a game. BP adores Romo, thinks he is doing an amazing job and will probably stick around for a few more years because of it.

Letting the media know that just tips your hand.

What amazes me is that........everytime we have the ball I feel we are going to score.

My only question is who will score the TD this time?

This is fun folks.

He also makes our O-Line look better.

They have been playing well and protecting him, ... they have to be loving all of this as well.

It was nice to see Fabini come in and play well when Colombo went to the lockerroom for a while.

The time will come when Romo has an off game, or the line doesn't protect him as well, but I think we will continue to see this kind of performance from Romo as long as we can protect him.

I agree.

Mr Parcells is well aware that Romo has saved his fat hiney and his legacy as coach of the Dallas Cowboys.

Now, Parcells also deserves some credit for seeing what the kid has and grooming him. I think at the beginning of this season, Parcells knew he had something special

I missed part of the second half. What happened to Columbo?

The gripe I had with Bledsoe being back there, all along, was that he was simply TOO easy to pass rush. The defense knew exactly where he was going to be and I'm sure it made the O Line's job MUCH more difficult.

Amazing how that line looks better all of a sudden.

I think that when the time comes where Romo has an off day, that he'll be one of those QB's who can scrape together enough plays to still pull out a win.

Not too sure, I saw him limping after a play, and then I saw him walking back onto the field from the lockerroom, and then I saw him back on the field.

He seemed OK after all, but I am not sure what happened.

We'll probably find out this week.

My only fear is that his confidence gets to the point where he tries to fits passes into unopened spots that have no chance whatsoever. But then again as his confidence grows so does his maturity and preparation.

With every game he should just continue to grow and get better. He'll probably have some off games but with every snap he is learning and seeing things he's never seen in a live situation.

ROMO has reborn COWBOYS NATION!
