Hello all great cowboys fans of the zone.

I need expert factual story telling of tony Romo's life.

Early years to high school to college to undrafted to starter, then rise fall rise again. Trials and tribulations.
It's for a video I want to create. A mini movie if you will.

I know about wiki but want some people that I know In this forum. You can use wiki too.
Thanks in advance!

Romo is Mexican American.

Didn't start playing football until the 9th grade was a soccer and basketball player before that.

Wears #9 because it was Roy Hobbs number in the movie The Natural

good, correct start.

was offered a football and basketball scholarship. chose football because he felt he had reached his ceiling with basketball and it wasnt enough to continue to challenge himself.

The article said they were teams teammates on the All Wisconsin team. They went to different schools but I don't know if they ever played against each other.

I think Caron Butler won Mr. Basketball for the state of Wisconsin and Romo came in 2nd.

I can't recall whether that was proven, though.

Star4 from Wisconsin ... Where are ya?

Here I am Bud. Same guy,..... different name. LOL

I know there was a story out there about Romo missing the bus somehow to a game when he was a Freshman in high school. So he started running to the next town! LOL Luckily someone picked him up and he made it on time.

His goal line sneak for the win against Oakland in preseason of his rookie year was where the Legend of Romo began!

Thanks guys.

This is to anyone who wants to make a mini chronological list of his carrer as cowboy.

Highlights and lowlights in chronological order. Ie. Rise - fall - injury - media adversity - rise - fall - rise etc.

Reposted from other thread so I can have this info all in one place.
Thanks staubacher.

Re-quoted
Grandpa basically said as a child Tony loved the Packers and now he is playing against them

Said all the family waited 5 years for playoffs again. Tony's dream to be champion.

Said praying for him and the team.

Grandma is making chorizo con huevos (sausage/eggs) for power and good luck!

They are very proud and excited
