I'm just curious as to why we saw less of Tony Romo running with the ball (qb draws and bootlegs).

Seems that Garrett wanted a prototypical drop-back pocket passer and I don't think that's who Romo is. He had 102yds in 2006, 129yds in 2007 but just 30yds rushing this season.

Maybe it's just me, but I think Romo was at his best when he was coming out of the pocket; I could be wrong. But as I see it, when he's a threat to leave the pocket, it forces defenses to leave at least one guy back to spy, and other guys may not play as aggressively.

What do you think?

He's better out of the pocket, can't really argue that. But it makes too much sense for Garrett to run bootlegs and stuff to get him going.

Romo is very good out side of the pocket. I would say he is better outside than inside the pocket.

I know there are some stats the say what his completion percentage is whether he is outside or inside the pocket, but I have no clue where to find those. But I would bet he is better outside.

Romo is not a run first QB. the times he has scrambled is to elude defenders. yes, he's ran for first downs and TDs, but those weren't designed QB run plays.
