I think Tony is a fun-loving guy. In a personality test he would score as a sanguine.
He seeks enjoyment, avoids conflict, never speaks ill of another. He succeeds on the football field when the game is a joy. When the game is a game.
Tony doesn't see himself as a warrior going to to slaughter. He loves the game for it's challenge and he relishes competition. But to him it is a GAME and he doesn't even relate to people that make it war.
I'm not sure what happens to him when the game is no longer a game, when its no longer fun. You move a guy away from what motors him.
All this back-stabbing, rabid criticism and heavy BS - I'm not sure how well a guy with Romo's personality style will do with this.
He isn't the stoic warrior. He's a playmaking playboy and a very good one at that.
