Tony Saprano And Jason Garrett...

Has the loss of Tony Saprano hurt the development of Jason Garrett? Saprano was the O-lines coach but he did help out Jason Garrett with the gameplanning and the playcalling, at times.

The Cowboys may want to get Garrett an experienced play-calling coach that can help Garrett mature into what everybody thought he would be.

I think it did. Tony gave him that voice, and experience, that he doesn't have to help him with the things he needs help with.

That would help us out a lot, if we keep Garrett, is to get him someone like that to help him out with these duties until he's able to prove that he can do it on his own.

This is probably about right, even he was still the O-line coach first and I thought the O-line last year was overrated. Romo just made em look better than what they were.

I think Tony was also in charge of the Running game in the game planning and play calling.

And I think most here have noticed that there have been multiple games where we have somewhat forgotten the run and focused to much in the passing game.

How many people on this board said Sparano was total crap last year? How many people said "good riddance?"

Now he is great.

We had that same problem against New England and Philly. We were running the ball effectively against NE (even Julius was ballin) but someway somehow, we didnt think twice about helping our defense by pounding the football and keeping the defense honest and we got killed in the time of possession. Everybody saw what happened against Philly. Romo was garbage and we didnt even attempt to establish the run.

Yes, there is no doubt it did.

There are no Child Prodigys coaching in the NFL. You need game experience and to move up through the ranks. Not havning and experienced coach like Sparano to bounce stuff and QA the game planning was a huge loss for this offense.

Agree! Who could be brought in to help Garrett?

Offense was 4th in points with Sparano.

Now we're 18th under Garrett.

We've only added Roy, Leonard, Felix, Choice, Bennett since Garrett took over.

Doing less with more.

Yes sir! Garrett is way way over his head. Just look at his face during the Eagles game..... looked like he was crying for help.

Possibley... Sparano didn't seem to go into Miami looking to force HIS system on the players, instead it looks like he took the players' abilities and worked his gameplan to fit the players
