The buzz around the NFL says the man who is most likely to be the next Dolphins coach is Cowboys offensive line coach Tony Sparano. New Miami executive Bill Parcells worked with Sparano in Dallas and has a lot of respect for him. Plus, they get along.

The Cowboys could deal with losing Sparano. But they would be crushed if they lost both Sparano and offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, who has an excellent chance of receiving an offer to become a head coach. So if Sparano does go to Miami, it could increase the chances of the Cowboys replacing Wade Phillips with Garrett even if the Cowboys do well in the postseason.

The other interesting scuttlebutt about Parcells says he has a clause in his contract that stipulates if Wayne Huizenga sells the Dolphins during Parcells' four-year deal, he is owed the remainder of his money immediately. His contract is believed to be worth close to $15 million.

Would this mean he would be gone now and not after the season is over?

That is what I want to know, I think they finish the season, but who knows?

Ok there is what 6 other teams with winning records so why does everybody always want to come after the Cowboys personal

The Patriots are 16-0 and have the best offense scene in a while, will there OC/Scouting department be interviewed?

Most organizations know they're cheating so they're accomplishments aren't legitimate, but they can't prove it, so they are staying away like the plague. ;)

It would not be fair to the team if Sparano were to leave before the playoffs. No reason he can't start his job until after Dallas' season ends.

I guess the GM doesn't need final say on the coach if the coach is hired before the GM.

So much for the Code of Bill and not raiding your former team.

Yeagh,
Charlie Weiss, Eric Mangini, Romeo Crennell could not find head coach jobs. Their OC is a very young and bright prospect to be a head coach.

I'm glad someone wants our staff, that usually means things are Great and we are winning.

They do not leave untill the season is over(playoffs) unless released.

Right now he is only being interviewed but would remain with the Cowboys until the season is over. Normally these interviews will take place but no annoncment of the hire until the teams season is over.

I wouln't be surprised if Cam Cameron was fired especially since he was only a missed FG away from being 0-16 as a NFL coach. After that win, the Dolphins were blown out in their final two games

Keep an eye on Mike Nolan for this job -- the SF Chronicle's sports bloggers are all pretty sure he's done. Nolan has many of the traits that Bill loves -- defensive mind, 3-4 mentality, terrible with QBs...

Evidently the GM job is not going to be the same position that every other GM in the league has. :laugh2:
