Probably the one coach I liked on our coaching staff other than Parcells, and it looks like he is being marginalized.

We've already got a running back coach, and Garrett is most likely going to be Offensive Coordinator, and play caller.

Is this a good thing?

I think he'll still be involved in coordinating a game plan. And just because he is OL coach for the moment, doesn't mean you can't allow him to call plays eventually.

I think Tony gets a bad wrap as a O-line coach. Wasn't he there during the '05 season when they just looked terrible all season?

Not much you can do when your RT is Rob Pettiti and your quarterback is the great stone statue.

They aren't a good line by any means, but I don't think blaming Tony D is the right course of action. And once Romo hit the field, I thought the play-calling was actually pretty inventive, at least compared to what it was before. Just goes to show how much Bledsoe hampered the offense.

FYI, Sparano was the Oline coach last year too, in addition to Asst.HC, running game coordinator

Tony S has the assistant HC title, as others have pointed out, and right now, outside of Sherman, he's the most experienced offensive coach on the team, and he is the only one left who knows the offense in place. I think Wade said he wanted to keep that offense and they won't be able to without Tony.

He may not call plays, but he's the only one who knows the playbook. So, I think he'll be heavily involved in game planning.. and who knows, Garrett and he may decide to share play calling duties.

Sporano wil be retained as the assistant head coach and named as an offensive quality control caoch, meaning that all other offensive coaches - including Garrett as the offensive coordinator - will be reporting to Sporano. Sporano will be drawing up the game plans and Garrett will be responsible for executing them.

Hey, I may not have insider information, but I did stay at at a Holiday Inn Express last night! :D

I believe he is being demoted but hopefully will share duties with Garrett as I feel the continuity should help the offense and Romo. But I think I've made my opinion pretty clear elsewhere.
