It's on YouTube...don't really want to link it as video is pretty hard to watch. You can tell Tony sped up and fish tailed. Accident but if that guy died (unconfirmed) he is in some serious trouble.

Any sort of sudden move of the wheel on dirt is gonna cause the car to slide...idiot kind of got what he deserved.

Watched it a few times, hard to tell if an accident or not. It was under caution and it looked like to me that he wanted to just "bump" him but didn't have his car under control. Stewart is known for angry outbursts but I have to agree, Ward should not be on the track like that.

I am hearing that he passed away, hard to get concrete confirmation at this point.

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. -- NASCAR driver Tony Stewart struck and killed a sprint car driver who was walking on a dirt track during a race in upstate New York on Saturday night.

Ontario County Sheriff Philip Povero said his department's investigation is not criminal and that Stewart was "fully cooperative."

I think that's BS. I'm guessing you're not much of a racing fan making a statement like that.

Being interviewed by police is standard practice whenever there is a fatality at the track. It means absolutely nothing as to Stewart being guilty of murder.

What Ward did was stupid. Real stupid. But it's not like he's the first guy to do it, so it's hard to criticize him for it.

I think that once he ran right in front of him, Stewart hit the throttle to avoid him and the car fishtailed momentarily and lost control of it's steering. It was a split second reaction to a guy running right at your car. There was no murder. Just stupidity which led to an unfortunate death.

Well anyone would get questioned by the police after a death on the track. It's procedure. If Ward had hit the wall on his own and died, the police would still be questioning drivers and track officials to determine what exactly happened.

he went up the track and gassed it at the guy because he's by God Tony Stewart and he can do that and ended up killing the guy. What a *******.

Make a statement like what? It's pretty obvious what he was doing.

He revved his engine and fishtailed into the guy.

I didn't say he wanted to kill the guy, just that's it's pretty obvious his intent was to threaten the guy. He may not have even wanted to hit him as I said earlier, but you cannot watch the video and see/hear him throttle up and come away thinking he wasn't trying to pose a threat.
