Scary that someone who can't possibly put in the time he needs can still do that well.

Maybe Carrie can teach Romo what a good "up and down" can do for a good score. :D

I'm assuming Drew wasn't his caddie this time?

Nah, he got tired of that role after a couple of games. :lmao2:

LOL... some "putting problems"-- he apparently missed 5-6 putts of some TWENTY FEET... they go on and on about how he missed them by "a few inches"...

A touring pro on a good day might make one, maybe two, putts of that length... and we don't know if Tony made any putts that long...

Me, I could play every day for a week, and I'd probably look at 15-20 putts of that length, and I might make one of them all week long... LOL...

To me, "putting problems" is when you miss a number of putts you shouldn't have, i.e., putts of about six feet or less... not making a few 20 footers hardly qualifies as putting problems...

But if you're a decent putter, when you miss those 20 footers, it's generally not by much more than a few inches...

I read elsewhere that he has a rather simple, fundamentally sound swing... players like that can lay off the game for 4 months during the winter, go out in the early spring and hit a bucket of balls to get loose, then go out and shoot a round like they would in midseason...

My swing was kind of like that, within a few days of picking up the sticks after a winter layoff I was striking the ball about as well as I'm capable of striking it... the short game only takes a little longer, to get the "feel" back...

Note that while Tony says he only PLAYS once a week, he might still hit the practice range, and the practice green, a few times a week... that practice takes a lot less time than a round of golf would (18 holes can take you as much as 5 hours these days, a bucket of balls and some time on the practice green might take an hour and a half)...

I'll wager that Tony practices more often than once a week... good for him, even an NFL QB needs a hobby that gets his mind off of things for a little while... there aren't many games better for that than golf; when I'm on the course, my ONLY problems are getting that ball in the hole in the absolute minimum number of shots... I don't have money worries (except the 2 dollar Nassau I'm probably playing, LOL), I don't have woman problems...

It's better than drugs, and almost as cheap... :D

I watched Tony golfing on a video at The Dallas Morning News' site. In the video, Tony said he didn't have a girlfriend before laughing and walking off. I guess talk of Carrie will be in every news about Tony.

You got that. And it was his short game that got him. Even then all he did was leave em short. That short game gets a lot of us tho don't it.
