Scary that someone who can't possibly put in the time he needs can still do that well.
I read elsewhere that he has a rather simple, fundamentally sound swing... players like that can lay off the game for 4 months during the winter, go out in the early spring and hit a bucket of balls to get loose, then go out and shoot a round like they would in midseason...
My swing was kind of like that, within a few days of picking up the sticks after a winter layoff I was striking the ball about as well as I'm capable of striking it... the short game only takes a little longer, to get the "feel" back...
Note that while Tony says he only PLAYS once a week, he might still hit the practice range, and the practice green, a few times a week... that practice takes a lot less time than a round of golf would (18 holes can take you as much as 5 hours these days, a bucket of balls and some time on the practice green might take an hour and a half)...
I'll wager that Tony practices more often than once a week... good for him, even an NFL QB needs a hobby that gets his mind off of things for a little while... there aren't many games better for that than golf; when I'm on the course, my ONLY problems are getting that ball in the hole in the absolute minimum number of shots... I don't have money worries (except the 2 dollar Nassau I'm probably playing, LOL), I don't have woman problems...
It's better than drugs, and almost as cheap...
