I am too young to remember him at all, but what is the deal with danny white?
Great qb that never got it done or what?

Yes his season is mind-blowing...

And another performance like yesterday's and it could cause many of us to do just that!

If there's one thing I love, it's getting my mind blown.

2 games with a rating under 90. You know what other QB has done that this season? Tom Brady. That's it...that's the list. Peyton checks in with 6.

If anyone's wondering, he still has a long ways to go to catch the most interceptions mark (25) which is held by two: Eddie LeBaron in 1960, and Danny White in 1980.

Danny had the unfortunate distinction of taking over after Roger Staubach retired. He took them to three straight NFC Championships, losing to Philly, San Fran and Washington (Many would say Dallas's three most hated rivals). He just could not get them over the top. Team game, but the QB always gets the most praise in victory and the most criticism in defeat.

You never want to be the man that replaces The Man.

danny had the unfortunate pleasure to follow up roger. no one could have done that very successfully. he was a good, intense qb that was always a perfect team player.

having a qb who was also your punter was just genious!

In answer to your question, look at the Cowboys' defensive rankings with each quarterback.

Aikman--3 rings (years: Dallas defensive ranking)
1992: 5th
1993: 2nd
1995: 8th

Staubach--2 rings (years: Dallas defensive ranking)
1971: 7th
1977: 2nd

White--3 NFCC apperances (years: Dallas defensive ranking)
1980: 18th
1981: 20th
1982: 14th

That's all you need to know about White, I think.

wow, if this isnt a testament to how you cannot compare pure numbers from different eras. Carter 8th? Bledsoe and Testaverde top 5? Shoot Craig Morton of 70 and 72 was superior to these 3 (from these seasons that is). Meredith was superior.

I love the research and all Hos but you might have to chill out for a little bit..

I recall that "Streaks" post you made yesterday before the game, have you done a Streak post any other time this season?

I didn't think so - finally we have the real person to blame for our loss :(

mind blowing season that could be better if Wade W. wasn't suspended and Garrett had more experience running the offense for 60 minutes every week.

projections are useless though... few saw 6 pts coming at home yesterday

I regretted that thread as soon as the game was over yesterday.

I throw myself on the sword.

I almost responded to that thread last night. Now I'm glad I didn't.
