So with the rosters almost set now.
Time to focus on the opening game.

Title says too early, but is it really. 8 days we will have the opening TNF game.

I have not paid too much attention to what the Giants have done this off season. And have seen a little of their PS games, which means nothing.

Anyone keep up on their off season moves, draft, injured players?
Focus has been if Dallas closed the gap with Philly and SF. Though I say the gap was not all that great anyway. I believe we did.

Has the NYG closed the gap on us, or did we widen it?

Probably going to get to meet two rookie corners right out of the gate with D. Banks and T. Hawkins. I think A. Jackson has been playing the slot. Also might get to see a little rookie match up of Smith vs. Schmitz in the middle. They've got some speed at receiver with P. Campbell and J. Hyatt but D. Waller was their biggest acquisition.

I still think we match up well against the Giants. I'm more concerned about the game against the Jets because of the Rodgers curse.

A fair question. If the addition of Gilmore,Cooks, Deuce and Mazi hasn’t widened the gap , it won’t bode well for closing the gap against the real threats in the Niners and Eagles.

what Im personally looking for this season is our defense improving against the run, (especially up the middle) and our offense being CONSISTENT, week in and week out.

I've read here for months that Daniel Jones sucks, The giants offensive line is terrible and their defense is average and only has one good player.

So from what I read here all offseason you should be comfortable knowing Dallas will win by 17 or more. It will be so easy Trey Lance will probably get a few snaps in the fourth quarter.

True and the Niners picked up one of the talented Eagles castoffs, lol.

The Niners still have the most complete roster on both sides of the ball but I believe that Dak will be able to get us over the hump in the NFC championship game this time.

Dak has always been a force multiplier since he’s been commanding and leading this team.

I think the Cowboys beat the Giants 7 out of 10 times if they played that many. I'm just really struggling to buy them this year. They are an OK team that will have a puncher chance at winning this game, but one that the Cowboys should be able to handle. I think it becomes very difficult for Daniel Jones to duplicate last years success, especially with an extremely low int number he put up in 2022. Waller is a nice add, but overall their skill players on offense are underwhelming outside of Barkley. Oline is pretty suspect going into the year. Defensively they have a nice front four but the back end should make Giant fans nervous. They are a team that has to capitalize on opponent mistakes at a high rate and protect the football to stay in games. If not I just can't see them putting up points to hang in there against the better offenses in the league.

How many years since they’ve beaten Dak? It’s kind of tough for you to puff your chest so much for the Giants when they always lose to Dallas

So it's just you throwing a little temper tantrum then.

Hypocrisy points for being the one to actually do what you accuse others of by attempting to derail the thread.

I have a lot of respect for their coaching staff especially Daboll. Their DL is pretty much beastly. I think their OL will be their achilles heel again.

As usual of late contain SB and pressure the hell outta Danny Dimes.

I think they're improve simply because they have good smart leadership now at GM and HC. Having said that I think they benefitted from an easy schedule last year while this year their schedule is back breaking. I'll be surprised to see them make the playoffs.

If you want to read their unrealistic fans compositions you can go here (I go over there a couple times a week or more):

"NFL Talk" has the more direct Cowboy stuff and obviously "Giant Talk" is about their team

There is a lot of their team talk in their NFL section and not as much NFL talk.

8 days?!?!? Holy smokes, that's beautiful. I knew it was approaching but have refused to look at the calander. Can't wait.

The Giants don't scare me. They exceeded expectations last year, and I expect they regress to the mean this season.

Yeah they are building, but they played well above expectations last season. They have no wrs in a passing league. I expect Waller to be a target monster at TE though. Barkley will be tough again, but there just aren't a lot of weapons to worry about. Missing on Toney set them back at the position.

always. I am just sobbing over here.
It just doesn’t make much sense is all. You’ve been beating that drum only for them to lose and you’re clearly upset about it. You just can’t seem to figure out the issue is your own emotional attachment to what was at the time the worst team in the league. Whatever you might think about Dallas, you are only interested in discussing them in relation to the Giants, they are always far better than NY and they prove it every year. Twice a year. To answer the question you’ve avoided, they haven’t beat Dak in 7 years. It’s hilarious that you think that somehow proves the Giants superiority.
