After watching these two teams, Dallas probably has the softest team in the league.

Yep. The 49ers defense PUNKED the Giants' offense...made em look finesse and took them out of their game in the 2nd half. I haven't seen us do that to the Giants ever except that one game in 2008.

i've been trying to tell you guys this for 2 stinking years on this site.

now we have to hear how great Eli was, when the Giants MVP was Kyle Williams of the 49ers!

Indeed. Without that guy, the game doesn't make it to OT. The defense did more than enough to win that game.

He killed his team today.

eli just tosses it up there and got away with 3-4 interceptions today. hes almost as good as peyton though, amirite ESPN?

How about some of the balls that Eli just threw up for grabs, freakin unbelievable

lol...unbelievable is pretty much the best way to describe it. He literally just threw some stuff up like they were playing 500 in the yard. :laugh1:

Those were real men playing football out there today the way it's suppose to be played.

This team is too soft mentally and physically but some on this board disagree profusely.

It was refreshing watching gutty players play with passion, determination, fight, and laying it all out. After watching Dallas play most of the season, I forgot what that looked like.

A+ for the SF Defensive effort. Watching Eli take a beating tonight was some kind of consolation I guess.

We don't have enough players who taking losing personally. One thing about NY is they have dogs and mentally tough players were thrive under adversity. Our guys wilt under it.

I think it's a product of the environment. Teams that play outdoors on grass are tougher. The indoor teams that play on turf get by with high-octane offense. Indoors, on turf ALWAYS favors offense

He was terrible. He fair caught balls that should have been returned, didn't go after the ball that he clearly had to have known he touched, and then fumbled to lose the game. He'll probably be wearing a star one day.

This is exactly what I was thinking as I watched the Giants/49ers today. I wish we had players who played the way those guys did today. A Giants team that was 9-7 in the regular season and won 2 playoff games on the road. A 49ers team that was 6-10 just a year ago. Those guys played with their hearts and refused to lose. We had these type of players at one time. They had names like Aikman, Irvin, Smith and Novacek to name a few. Man I miss those guys.
