Too many Zones

This forum has become a bit difficult to navigate for information these days.

Someone makes a topic about Potential Cowboys draft picks and I gotta go to the draft zone.

Someone talks about our roster and I have to go to the roster zone.

Someone doesn't like what one of the coaches have done then we have to go to the rant zone.

What is the fan zone even for?

Too many zones imo and navigating on a phone or tablet becomes really annoying.

I don't like having to hunt the entire website to get up to date on Cowboys info.

This forum has become a bit difficult to navigate for information these days.

The only thing that has changed is the addition of the Roster Zone. It's only a temp Zone as Reality explained:

The Roster Zone will likely be a seasonal forum that will be activated once training camp starts and run until the start of the season each year.

If all the threads were in the Fan Zone, the first page would turn over every 30 minutes which would lead to more chaos as there would be multiple threads started about the same subject.

Click New Posts at the top to get the latest posts.

Considering how much traffic this site gets, we could easily have several more forums. The structure of forums on the site has been slowly shaped, adjusted and adapted over the last 10+ years. If you want to read all new posts, use the New Posts feature at the top of the page. A lot of users use that in fact.

As bdc pointed out, the Roster Zone is temporary and will be gone soon.

Huh, interesting. "New Posts" is pretty much the only way I've navigated this site for years. (Except the occasional Fan Zone -> Post New Thread).

one of the issues I've seen, is that there are some roster threads allowed in the Fan Zone so it seems kinda vague on what criteria deems a thread to be moved. I understand the clutter thing and honestly it does get tiring seeing the same threads posted over and over just with slightly different phrasing. Some of those threads should just be combined.

All the zones are ******** as hell. Have a Fan Zone that allows hot NFL topics (Brady and such) then the NFL Zone, and Off Topic.

EDIT: You can also leave the sports zone but everything else is stupid as ****.

I bookmark the fanzone and just click on the bookmark over and over usually.
